It was a prompt Mick.... I've just realised I've pre-ordered eight loco's in the last month or so... Five 66's and three 68's... And the 59's are still to be pre-ordered, I'm going to need a bigger layout .

I presume the pre production models get passed around for review but the general public rarely get their hands on them or do they..

This is exactly what happened with the HIA's, all the retailers had to put the prices up, irrespective of pre-order prices. The only option was to cancel your order...

The statement 'mid-summer' was in an email I had yesterday. Presume anything between July and August, let's hope we have a summer this year !!

Yes, I have tried Precision labels, although the decals are very good I had the same conversation with him and he said they are lighter (more pinky) than the numbers on the Bachmann loco's. You have to change both numbers and letters, he did Cargo Rail decals they were excellent. Apparently its down to the printing process...

I've not seen any decent transfers for the EWS maroon numbers or letters. Apparently they can't replicate the colour very easy and they always look to light. The weathering will be a challenge on 065, there are a few running round like this now though.. Good luck....

I totally agree with you, couldn't believe my luck when I saw the box 'Pre-Order'... But I wouldn't worry about acquiring both of them they don't run as a pair, and I'm sure there are plenty to go round. There is a glut of 66's in manufacture this year having hardly had any new ones for several years, both standard releases and LE's... The last I believe were both LE's 66111 and 66050... Gulp, realised I've spent £450 on three locomotives

I'd be surprised if they don't. Although we had six versions to start with bit the JNAs have had several runs now so I'm sure we will see more soon.

Sorry to confuse you all. What I meant is 66418 is in its new guise as a Freightliner Powerhaul so why would you buy this model apart from it being different. And, yes a 66434 in the new livery would be a better buy.

If the Kernow MC Limited Edition Class 66 is on it's way I presume the others will be in the same container, six weeks on the water....

I presume it's an extra £20 for the weathering, I wish them well in this venture but not sure if this will really sell, especially as it's now running round in it's new guise and with a new livery 66434 appearing shortly.....

Had a really good look at mine today and they are very nice wagons, but does anybody feel the buffers look a little bit tiny in comparison ???

I don't believe this was ever painted into Advenza blue, I believe it was running around as a renumber in DRS with Colas logo's on the cab sides, but I'm happy to be proved wrong... -
Have to agree...Dapol have certainly got a good focus on modern image wagons... And the quality is excellent...

Rail enthusiasts seem to have named them 'Dogs' for some reason.

Thankfully in normal running conditions it's not noticeable and doesn't detract from what otherwise is an excellent wagon.... But a good spot by the rivet counter...

I followed up on my order with an email to Hattons yesterday as I'd read that people had received all six, but Hattons are saying they've not had 005 and 006 in stock yet, butare due in on Monday, which is also a Bank Holiday !!

Behind a 70, I bet that's a first.. And the nice man from Yodel came to my house as well, but short of item 005 and 006... good start with six tho.. Much shorter than I imagined, but very nice...
