  1. I mentioned the Belah viaduct earlier in this thread, I visited it again last week. You can just see the carcass of the signal cabin on the far side. I also had a quick look at the north side of the site of the Deepdale Beck viaduct. This, from what I can gather, was a smaller and lesser known structure to that at Belah. The valley here is heavily wooded so getting a good view is difficult. The northern buttress can be seen from below. What was surprising though was the old signal cabin on the approach to the viaduct. I was not expecting that! Graham
  2. The station opened in 1876 and was renamed in 1878.
  3. Apologies if this one has been used before.......some first radius curves.......
  4. Next, a contender for the "most useless clue in the world" contest - I will be travelling to this station tomorrow.
  5. Nice, shortish train to hang behind our DoG models. No doubt someone can tell us which vehicle types they are. Graham
  6. Thanks for this, I now have an excuse for buying some and running them behind anything. Graham
  7. I'll say, I've already got the loco (with L/C tender).
  8. Dave/Market, I was going to ask about the first few coaches behind the loco as I could see that they were LMS types but didn't know which ones. As I was just today glueing discs onto the front of a named, green SYP Lima class 40, I thought it would be interesting to try and re-create the train in Dave's wonderful photo. A Stanier BCK is something I don't have though. Never mind. Thanks anyway. And Dave, any number of colour shots from the 60's is never too many. I lived in LMR land at this time so shots like the Brit under the wires are truly wonderful. Cheers Graham
  9. Arley, between Nuneaton and Brum.
  10. Streetview looking north west from bridge over railway.
  11. Clue, The line is single, electrified and on the fringes of a large city.
  12. Next, a duck. and a not-very-good streetview
  13. Another River Frome east of Hereford
  14. I thought this square looked familiar, it was used a few weeks ago. Blakedown. Next,
  15. Dave, Great to see these photos from my neck of the woods. Isn't the train in J5083 heading north though? Graham
  16. 'Chard, I think you mean the M45 bridge south of Rugby. Both are still there. You can't walk over the M1 bridge, they've blocked it off. You can walk the M45 bridge though. Graham
  17. I visited the site of Belah viaduct, on the old Stainmore line, last year. I am thinking about a repeat visit this year - would love to have seen the viaduct before demolition, such a dramatic location. Graham
