  5. This branch line ends about 8 miles east of here at a power station by a river estuary.

  8. I've just returned from the Lake District and one of the pubs I visited had the "Tubular Fells" map on the wall. It also had a tube map of the Cumbrian Breweries (as opposed to the Lake District pubs). Graham
  9. Sorry, been away for a few days. It's a well-known line in railway history. If the duck was old enough it may have witnessed some iconic locos being put through their paces.
