  1. I wonder if they would advise anyone that their new stock is cheaper than their pre-owned. 31-931 Bachmann Branchline Class 1000 Midland Compound 4-4-0 1189 in LMS black OO Gauge (1:76 Scale) £89 BARGAIN List price: £139.95 More than 10 in stock 31-931-LN-01 Bachmann Branchline Class 1000 Midland Compound 4-4-0 1189 in LMS black - Pre-owned - Like new OO Gauge (1:76 Scale) £95 Limited stocks, but available for immediate order
  2. Since my last post I have thoroughly enjoyed "The Man At The Back", and the lesson in social history. Brought back many memories. Thanks.
  3. I opened the above post by accident, don't know how I missed this thread. I enjoyed a pleasant 15 minutes watching that video with a cuppa. I enjoy watching railway operation, now it looks like I will be drinking loads of tea catching up on your youtube channel.
  4. If something I want is low on stock I will order online to collect in shop. This can also take a couple of days before notification to collect.
  5. They still had stocks of more than 10 a week ago. The returns might be repaired and sold as pre-owned at a higher price. There was never any update to this page... Garratt Spares
  6. Just received an email to say my Bachmann Porthole Brake Third has been charged for. If Bachmann had have delivered this on time with the other coaches it would have only cost me £24 instead of £33.96
  7. The delays to the Porthole Brake 3rd are supposed to be due to packaging issues, and that these coaches were ready to be delivered at the same time as the others. Ten months seems a long time to have stock sitting around waiting for new boxes.
  8. This was their reply on 18th April when asked "Are you having a problem getting the Hornby LMS non-corridor coaches? Other retailers have had them and already sold out." Hattons - "We have not received them from Hornby yet and our Buyer will contact them to find out the latest expected delivery date."
  9. In reply to a Facebook question on the price increase on the pre-ordered Porthole coach Hattons' reply was "I'm very sorry but we had no choice but to increase the price as per RRP trading terms with Bachmann. We endeavour to absorb any price increases where we can but in this case it was just not possible. The items are still at the best possible price that they can be but we apologise for the inconvenience caused by this."
  10. I agree but, Hattons made an offer to beat the increased prices if you ordered before a deadline they gave. It appears they have now reneged on that offer.
  11. I remember this offer and I ordered six of the Porthole Coaches to beat the increase, one (39-460) of which still hasn't been delivered. I recently received a note from Hattons saying... "I am writing to you regarding an item that you have on pre-order. Whilst we endeavour to maintain original pre-order prices wherever possible, unfortunately on this occasion, due to Bachmann’s decision to raise their RRP on this item we have had to amend our price in accordance. I hope this doesn’t cause any inconvenience but please feel free to contact us if you wish to amend or cancel this order."[/size] ...but Bachmann have not increased the price since the original increase that the offer was intended to beat so surely the original price should still apply. If it had have been delivered on time with the rest of them and not been delayed due to a packaging issue it would have been the original price.
  12. Just had notification from Hattons... though looking on their website R6682B is now priced at £17. R6682C, R6683B and R6683C are still priced at £12.49.
  13. Maybe they had overpriced them. Hornby had overpriced the LMS CCT's in 2013, I remember my original order with Hattons was £16.00 which then dropped to £12.00
  14. I'm sure there was a similar post yesterday from a new member advertising these decoders.
  15. The stock levels appear to be increasing with 3 previous versions back in stock. Hattons Garratt
  16. I have 266204 7983 but the label on the box end says 266204 4973.
  17. When my first one packed in I had it on rollers and starting on a low setting it appeared to be free running but I noticed the front end was running faster than the rear. As I was turning up the power the speed increased then got to a point where it slowed down then picked up again. I could repeat this. After doing this a few times it stopped dead with the controller (ECM Compspeed) showing an overload. I turned it off and looked to see if the motion had jammed up but all looked ok. On turning the controller back on only the rear end was running. I didn't investigate any further, I took it back for a replacement.

    Bachmann 1F

Tested my model today and sounds like a skeleton in a biscuit tin. Is the motor supposed to be this loose?
  20. I was feeling a bit left out of this years announcements from both B and H but this has made up for it.
  21. We've had complaints of late arrivals, now a complaint of arriving too early...
