  1. I have had a cheap year since Hattons moved premises. Just one pre-order of 6 Hornby Collett Coaches, which I had to use my car to collect. I prefer to use public transport (concessionary bus/train pass) and often popped into Hattons (almost weekly) for a browse and more often than not made a purchase. That has now come to an end. I have three pre-orders outstanding, a Stanier Mogul, Coal Tank and DJM King, none of which will be available until next year and which I may just have delivered as the postage will be less than the fuel cost of picking them up. Having Hattons as my local model shop I purchased all of my modelling needs there, but if I now have to pay delivery charges I may just as well purchase from elsewhere.
  2. The Peco PL-26 switch only makes one pulse per throw. It could be used by linking out the switch outputs so the signal receives a pulse on each throw.
  3. Just needed the "s" to be taken out of "https".
  4. It may look different/better when it is fixed down flat.
  5. If they have no local shop what are they expected to do? My local shop was Hattons where I purchased almost all of my model needs from, but now they have moved I have now started buying online with more choice.
  6. OO Finescale trackwork from Legacy Models http://www.ehattons.com/NewsDetail.aspx?id=85
  7. Similar to what I experienced.
  8. I don't think this page, Garratt Spares, has ever had anything listed. It does make you want to think twice about future purchases if there is no back up for them.
  9. I once likened it to school playground behaviour, but someone took the hump and I received a notice from the headmaster.
  10. They should consider running a free shuttle service from their hub to the nearest station.
  11. PECO ANNOUNCES BULLHEAD TRACK FOR OO Peco has used the 2016 Nürnberg Toy Fair as the platform to announce several new products that it plans to release over the course of the next 12 months. The headline announcement is that the manufacturer is developing brand new Code 75 Streamline bullhead track for OO. (A CAD image is published here.) For full details of this and the other announcements, go to the Peco Publications website (see link below) and also look out for the March issue of Railway Modeller, on sale from 11 February. http://www.pecopublications.co.uk/peco-anounces-2016-new-items-programme.html
  12. And what if you are not aware of it? I have recently been contacted by the suppliers of a Hotpoint tumble drier I purchased 5 years ago regarding a potential fire risk I was not aware of.
  13. Some blame their spelling errors on predictive text but never think to turn it off.
  14. Superb looking models. I am envious. Now if only they were a Stanier Class 2 0-4-4T.

Quite as can be expected I suppose.
  16. I noticed Hattons never did any more regarding the availability of spares. http://www.ehattons.com/garrattspares
  17. I set up my last desktop pc with a clean install of Win 7 plus all the updates, accepted the Win 10 update then was told that it does not support the CPU. Never mind, kept me occupied for a good few hours.
  18. I am that person at the front of the queue driving at 20mph in a 20mph zone. I apologize to everyone who was in a hurry and had to be somewhere that had to pull out and zoom past. It was nice though, being able to drive with nothing in front of me.
