  6. I imagine it probably failed in the Gloucester area and the local shed was able to carry out the repairs. When it returned to Barrow Road, it was put on local freight duties (as shown in the photo on 7.10 trips) to run in after repair. It then recommenced normal duties until withdrawal in March 1964. It was withdrawn three days after Leander (Monday March 16) and I remember walking around the shed and as I passed it stabled in the roundhouse I noticed that the nameplates had been removed - a sure sign of withdrawal. It languished on shed until the beginning of June when it departed for Birds scrapyard at Risca near Newport. I visited the site in 1965 hoping to see it, but it had been cut up.
