  4. Thanks Pete but I already work with the armed forces to help turn kids in to men and women prepaired to do something for this county and try and build a better place for us all to live I agree that it is very easy for us all to sit and condem these acts. We should all find our own way to contibute to this Country
  5. The time has come to realise that the last 30 years of pandering to the young "deprived" "disaffected" youth has to stop and these youngsters have to be taught that we all live in this country together. The world does not owe us anything and if we want something we have to earn it, not take it or expect someone to give it to us. Kids today have no respect due to the fact that there are no consequences for any of their actions, either at school, on the streets (I am not blaming the police as their hands have been tied) or in the courts. They therefore have no respect for any authority as they know they will not be punished End of rant
  6. Very Nice Stu I think you may have a problem with pick up of power from those rails unless you clean the "rust" of the tops
  7. Fiddling around with the SWAG Module project Yards

  8. Not sure how this friends thing works on this forum, but I'll try anything once

  9. I can't take the credit for either, Pete Harvey painted my 47 and the layout is just a joy to photograph. I hope I can have another go soon and take a little more time to get some better shots
  10. Thanks for posting the pics with my 47799 Prince Henry in them, she looks much better now she has had a light weathering. I was great for me to be allowed to put her on such a great layout and thanks Mickey for the comments
  11. My starter kit arrived the day after I ordered it from Treemendus and the excitment is growing You can just see my new heater to keep me warm in the winter in the pic This is the area around the canal that will be grass and trees (See original plan in "A Starting Point") So next job is to put a base on the canal, put in the tow path, ballast the track upto the first point and some brick work on the canal walls then start the greenary Watch this space
  12. Having now added some PH Designs bogie steps, replaced the incorrect Bachmann tanks with some Hejan versions, added some additional pipework and appled some light weathering to the bogies, tanks and wheels. I think it is starting to look more realistic I need to weather the bufferbeams and pipes, add some pipework behind the body side windows and to add a little more detail around the tanks to finish off the look. (Then do it all again to Prince William!!) If anybody has any further ideas I would be pleased to hear them If you read this without seeing the pictures I would probably end up in the Tower

    A Starting Point

Thanks JaymzHatstand I have 99041 the support coach for Duchess of Sutherland, converted from a Bachmann MK1 BSK and there is a EWS Class 08 that will look after some tankers and coal wagons for fuel supply. I also intend to build 2920 the Royal Train Generator Brake coach as this coach will need a TMD for servicing It is not based on any particular place just lots of ideas rolled into one

    A Starting Point

Hi All Royal Yard is a fictitious TMD Home for locos that have been on the Royal Train Locos since 2000. The base board has been made with 12 mm MDF and framed with 25 x 38 wood. The track is laid (or will be laid) on cork tiles cut to suit and is DCC. The plan shows how it should look when finished (I am sure it will change ) This is where I am at the moment The locos you can see are 47798 Prince William in shed No 4(needs lots more work!) 47799 Prince Henry standing outside shed No 3 47787 Windsor Castle at the fueling point 6233 Duchess of Sutherland (with working lights) outside shed 1 60163 Tornado alongside the shed The other board you can see with the Pendolino, this is my round and round test track. As far as I am aware a Pendolino has never been used as a Royal Train, but it was for sale second hand at a very silly low price I had to buy it It would be great to hear some comments, good or bad PS has anybody got a spare RH point (Only joking)
