  3. Hi Chris, glad tohear you had a goodtime, wish I could of made the show myself. As for 'excessive posts', in my opinion they can never be enough about your work. I have been through your blog on RMweb and don't think I have seen anything about the scratchbuilt buildings and your techniques on BQ, or did I miss them. All the best, Mark
  4. Nice photography as always Chris. Also always love the little story behind your entries. Wish I could make it to Model Rail live to see Brewhouse in the flesh. Hope you have an enjoyable weekend. Will you be taking a barrel of Marriott, Dent & Foster Best Bitter to consume? Regards
  5. "Almost exactly the same" Surely it's either almost the same or identicle.
  6. Me too. Very much missed along with my Mum.
  7. I couldn't make it either for a variety of reasons ranging from cost of fuel to leaving my wife who's got a filthy cold, alone with Adam our 4 Y.O. all day. I'm not that tight when it come to paying for fuel but as I am paying council tax on my late mothers empty property (which galls me) and the the fact that we have taken the plunge in sending Adam to a private school when he starts in September means I/we are watching every penny at the moment. Hopefully the mums house will either be sold or rented by this time next year means that luxury trips will be more affordable. Anybody what to buy a nice bungalow with granny flat and huge double length garage that opens up into a double width at the far end in Devizes? A previous owner had it built to rebuild a car in it at some point. Regards, Mark
  8. Oh Oh! Gone very still out with lots of thunder of in the distance. And i'm off to work soon.

  9. I will be dissapointed as I have to go on holiday that weekend which is a SWMBO clan gathering in Welshpool. I can see some railway excursions planned though.
  10. Looking nice already Chris. Dissapointed that I won't see Combwich together with Enginewood. I am right in thinking that you and the Captain are joining the layouts togetheror did I imagine that? Cheers, Mark
  11. Quote "the brake shoe legs or arms or whatever they're called". Brake hangers, Chris. "people that might get upset probably have squeaky voices and are generally not the sort I'd be comfortable introducing to my wife or 'normal' friends" Hope knowing that doesn't make me one of those. Nice works as ever BTW Regards, Mark
  12. Is swearing trying to get a good fit on a Parkside SR BY Utility van roof.

  18. Very nice Missy. Love the Q1s and as for this being 2mmFS... One day I might have a go at a live steam one in 5 inch gauge. Keep 'em coming BTW What do you use to machine the tender wheels? A Unimat 3? That's what I bought and got me going on 5 inch stuff. Had to buy a bigger lathe for that though. Regards, Mark
