  1. Is the countdown still showing for a further announcement in (almost) two days time, or was it for todays exclusive 66s.. 🤔 The photo behind is of a 37, but thought that was all of these for now so that’s intriguing.. 😊
  2. @Accurascale Fran Hi Fran I preordered 423 at same time as 409 but have not received a despatch notification for 423 yet. Just wondering if it is being held until 409 has arrived for them to be sent together?
  3. Hi @Revolution Ben This full page ad is in the latest issue of Model Rail which arrived in the post yesterday. I presume this went to the printers in anticipation of pricing etc being finalised and appearing on the website before publication? I know there are a few of us eager to “hit the button” on some more of these so will wait patiently for more updates. Alex
  4. Six 37s preordered (without working fans) and I’m another one really not bothered about it unless they are included in a later run without adding a lot to the price. For what it’s worth I also do not pay extra for the Bachmann “SFX” spec, quite happy with SF (factory DCC sound fitted) although they could do with improving their speaker quality!
  5. I did at least get to spot this at Statfold Ex today, but speaker was turned right down so couldn’t hear the thrash sadly… I think 425 was on the Hornby Magazine depot layout.
  6. And there is still some steam running on the mainline now, so it is still current albeit in very limited numbers!
  7. Looking forward to the “crews” for the Class 37s too now. Very impressed with those for the Deltics. Just wondering if there will be any packs of two drivers (for current era high viz, single manning or drivers under training etc) ?
  8. Of course I’d be quite happy with 510 in its current ROG/Europhoenix livery..
  9. The million $ (or should that be Euro?) question is whether the yet to be announced exclusive is HNRC 405/607 (607 has seen more use so better for me), 901 or poss 508 in Railfreight grey? Am wondering if the delayed announcement is waiting for 508 to be finished at BuT.
  10. 140 was a regular on the BIS PAA covered sand hoppers from Middleton Towers to glass works up north when it had the SF sparrow on it. Regularly paired with split box 040 in Construction sector livery or BR green 216 as I recall (school holidays summer 1988 or 1989!) ps there was also 37144 which looked very similar. I cannot remember whether either had black headcode boxes at the time.
  11. How long to the next announcement..?! 😄 I thought the countdown would automatically reset after this announcement! 🤣
  12. Excellent. 218 duly ordered! 👍 I didn’t get a range of payment options when I clicked the preorder link, just the “nil deposit, pay in full later” one (which is fine). When I ordered a 66 recently though it took the payment in full, rather than just a deposit, so is there an inconsistency in the website or have I missed something?
  13. I expect it probably is future 37 related (so it probably isn’t)
  14. Whoops..!!! 😬 Yes of course. I’ll be wanting the Class 88 and 73/9 in due course myself 😀🙏🤞
  15. Am a big fan of Accurascale but I do wish they and other manufacturers would just tell us if it’s steam or diesel, then probably at least half of us would be able to relax and go back to sleep until the next announcement is due.. 😀
  16. Thanks. I hadn’t read my daily update email from RMWeb telling me about yesterdays posts yet, even though I check here most mornings and evenings anyway!
  17. When did this new announcement for Weds 29th actually get announced..?! 😮
  18. Perhaps you would like to define what you mean by “things going especially wrong” ?? Im not an Accurascale employee, just a happy and satisfied customer. Happy and satisfied with their customer service too and comfortable in the knowledge that they do look after you if something has gone wrong their end. Likewise Bachmann. Less happy about some of the other more established manufacturers!
  19. The “old guard” and established “big boys” have a lot to learn, or could learn, from Accurascale in particular as well as a couple of the other new manufacturers. Either they aren’t able to compete on range/quality/price/customer service or they just don’t want to. Either way it’s a glorious and unprecedented period for model railways in my lifetime (of 50 years) and long may it continue. Cannot wait for the tv series when Yesterday or another channel finally cotton on to where the real action is at!
