  1. Hi Fran. We could do with some of the basic VTG logo ones with the plain grey patch panels too please! (such as in the images in Steadfasts post above and my photos below). These are very common on the Bardon Hill workings and no doubt some others.
  2. Before the headlight in 2015 and looking somewhat dirtier in 2016
  3. And possibly timed to coincide with US President Bidens visit to the UK, with the Mayflower theme..?
  4. One assumes then that there is no nose end tooling with a high intensity headlight in the correct place(s), such as fitted to the class 20/0 examples still running around on the network, which is going to be forthcoming in the future - otherwise they would have done so already for these particular LT models (or could have delayed doing the LT models until the correct tooling was ready). From that it would follow that Bachmann probably do not intend to offer more models of the most recent liveries of class 20/0 (not accurate ones anyway) and we will just have to hope Accurascale or SLW can produce them sometime in the future. Perhaps Bachmann already know something we don’t.. although it did not stop them producing the recent class 24/25 variants in the face of the forthcoming competition from Heljan and SLW. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a very satisfied owner of a Bachmann 20/3 already and would/will probably get another one in the future. However I will be taking a much closer look at future Bachmann releases prior to purchase than I might have done in the past rather than trusting them to get the prominent details of the prototype correct (as they did with the noses on 37099).
  5. Not had my collectors club newsletter yet but I note the description now on the collectors club website does say that the headlights are cab ends only, so presumably the model images are the final production versions not just livery samples and 142 will be without the radio pod.
  6. If anyone at Bachmann is reading this, and you are considering doing the Loram logo’d pair of 20205 in blue and 20007 in green the near future please do include the HI headlights (moulding at least) at both ends!
  7. It’s a real shame they didn’t even include non-working high intensity headlights on the No1 end of these two models. I’ve wanted a model of one or both of these two LT livery 20’s since the real ones were so painted but this is just a reason for me not to purchase one, having been so impressed with 20311. As it is I would struggle to be able to purchase a sound fitted 20314 now so soon after the release of 20311 (thought Bachmann might wait until next year to release it). Luckily for me they don’t always run together now! Neither Bachmann Collectors Club website nor the LT Museum shop website have them listed to preorder yet as of 10 mins ago.
  8. I’d probably get 59003 in GBRf if they eventually do it being something different to a class 66.
  9. That seems to be their tactic as borne out by the recent announcement of more IOAs and MJAs. Suits me as I do not have any of the former yet and only have two MJAs to date as my layout didn’t warrant any more. Now with the Accurascale short HYAs on the way it’s forced me to consider what my next layout is going to be as definitely going to need more sidings!
  10. I don’t need examples of half of these classes as I am not a collector, and my layout is very modern (post 2014) and i am very selective in what I choose and “need” to purchase. I don’t have a 68 yet and missed out on a sound fitted one from the first batch because I had other priorities, so I for one will be getting one of the new batch (68016 if it makes any difference). Having a few Accurascale 37s on order i am only looking to purchase (one) class 60 from those so far announced if Hornby don’t mess it up as I don’t have one of those yet either. I imagine there will still be plenty of buyers here for the BR blue period class 24/25, 45 and 55 models that are coming though this year.
  11. Did you get two detail packs for both ends Jim? I’ve just got my 50049 and there was only one bag of detail parts inside with three sections of ploughs just for one end.. And no etched nameplates included either. The other example at the shop is the same apparently. Long time since I’ve bought a Hornby loco and not impressed if this is an example of penny pinching.. Spoken to Hornby technical department. They couldn’t give me an answer over phone but said they will look into it if I email them the serial number. Least I could get some etched plates from Shawplan/Extreme Etchings.
  12. Very nice Jim. Did it have any snowploughs in the detail pack?
  13. if Heljan can do all of the recent liveries among the above it is a shame and surely a missed opportunity for Hornby and us that they still haven’t done them on their 00 version..
  14. I’ve got a depot layout (full of 37s and the odd 66) and no OHLE, but could justify one 88 visiting. Because of the novelty value (and if sound fitted) it would be a more desirable purchase for me than a class 68.
  15. Yes I spoke to a very nice lady eventually who explained the smiley face meant the pre-order details had been received, and the IT dept are in the process of updating the page to show a more formal pre-order acknowledgment.
  16. I had a right job trying to get all the fields accepted (on the order form for 66731) then a long pause followed by just a “:-)“ so hoping that means my interest has been registered! (No confirmation email as yet).
  17. This is a shame and disappointing to read this now having pre-ordered one of these back in November 2018.
  18. olivias trains currently have some of both the GBRF and Freightliner livery 00 versions available
  19. Thanks for producing this. Enjoyed dipping in and out yesterday for the interviews and product announcements.
  20. Perhaps Bachmann have (hopefully) got some previously unannounced regional rep limited editions lined up for release before the end of the year in the Cemex and ONE liveries, if not the Royal Scotsman ones as well... I’m quite happy to continue giving Bachmann my money rather than risking it on one of Hattons versions until their QC has been properly addressed (by which time a bunch of new liveries will probably have appeared on the network anyway!)
  21. My budget will run to one GBRF 50 at least, it’s nice to get one thing I was hoping for (didn’t expect the option of both GBRF 50’s). It is a shame though that some of the new NR livery coaches announced just look like Railroad/ancient tooling with incorrect bogies etc (the ex-GUV and mk1 BG anyway) looking at the pictures of them on Hattons website. The MK2 brake force runner is welcome though.
  22. Many thanks Dennis for all your hard work and time answering our questions at exhibitions!
  23. Hi Cav. Saw the layout for the first time at DEMU this weekend but unfortunately didn't have chance to say hello as I didn't want to interrupt. I remember you explaining your plans for this a couple of years ago and it is a fantastic job and just shows what level of detail is possible in 2mm! Alex
  24. Stunning surprise announcement! Well done Hattons, and i thought Christmas had already come with the RHTT announcement last year!
