  1. I seem to keep seeing 779 wherever I go, but it’s lining and lion and wheel emblems are getting quite faded now and it’s usually pretty dirty, so if Accurascale could produce it in it’s current state (and with the bell in situ) I’d be up for that one. Mind you if GBRf are due to repaint it soon id rather wait and see what livery it carries next 😄
  2. Mine would start with GBRf’s “Crossrail”, “Chinook” and “HMS Argyl”. 720 in its current Wascosa livery would be nice too 😀 Any of the “Power Signalbox” ones, ie Colchester, Cambridge or Peterborough. They are doing Severn Valley Railway in the first batch so Swanage Railway etc will surely follow in due course.
  3. Just wanted to say thanks Accurascale for this latest announcement! Would be interesting to know just how many pre-orders you’ve had already for the first batch today although I appreciate this may be commercially sensitive information. Judging by the number of other (multiple) purchases being made which were appearing at the bottom of the screen when I was ordering a DRS one it must be quite a few! Its a shame that some of the commenters here don’t appreciate that those of us who do want/appreciate a very accurate product (ruling out the Hornby version) also need more liveries seen on the real railway than Bachmann seem to be able to keep up with or want to supply the market with. So looking forward to what is to come. I’m not going to be buying huge fleets of 66s myself but there are many one off celebrity 66s as well as “standard” livery prototypes I would like to add to my fleet if and when they become available. If Accurascale do keep up with the livery developments on the real thing and release a few different ones each year then then I’m sure they will keep selling well! Especially with the tooling for the former euro 66s. The fact that the many issues with the Hattons version have been addressed, and the other improvements are going to encourage sales. Great price point too, even better because I used some of my reward points towards it 👍
  4. According to comments on Facebook there will be a lot disappointed people if it isn’t a Class 60..!
  5. Yes 31160 in RF Distribution livery called “Phoenix”. I had a Lima one which was recently discovered and donated to a charity shop. Personally I liked the 31/4s when Ex-works in Engineers Grey (without the “Dutch” style yellow band).
  6. Surely not? With Accurascale anything seems possible... Just one in NR yellow will be nice though even if the extra lights don’t work.
  7. Certainly there always seemed to be some of the Railtrack livery generator ones knocking about with traders at exhibitions for a long time, without the non-generator ones in evidence. Logic would suggest that they should be produced at a ratio of at least 4-1 surely..
  8. I agree as it would make more sense to offer a complete rake although personally I could not justify such an expense at this time especially when I don’t have the room for a complete train. Perhaps they could have offered a discount for three or five when bought together to suit more pockets? I don’t suppose the discount would be much though due to the complexity of these wagons as someone alluded to earlier.
  9. I am a club member, and I’ve been waiting for these in NR livery for ever, so I am prepared to stump up money for one at least so it can be run as if going to/from repair behind a suitable 37 😊 Problem is the BCC website appears to be overloaded today..
  10. We can but hope! 🤞 I don’t think we will see a similar update to the 66 this time around but you never know. It’s the logical one to follow the 47 and 37 upgrades (unless it’s an 08!)
  11. Completed and looking forward to seeing the results. Might be quite interesting to see if there is any one particular trend or area of interest which was not in evidence before. Nothing further to add except I am in the same camp as many here with more locos and stock than I can fit on my layout at any one time.
  12. Hi Fran Are the invoices for the second batch still to be paid by the 20th Jan? Kind regards Alex
  13. Having been indecisive about which one to get before, I’ve now ordered a second one (version 3 this time) to have both options 😀 As an aside, there is a great aerial drone video today by DestinationTrainsPlanes on YouTube of Crewe Basford Hall yard showing the DRS sidings (former “Crewe Coal Sidings”?) with a line of FNA-D’s sitting behind a 68.
  14. TBH I don’t even look at the Hornby thread any more. For me modern image 00 means Accurascale, Revolution and Cavalex now. With the occasional odd surprise from Bachmann/Kernow (I did get 37418 from the latter). Long may it continue!
  15. Hi Fran. Will these crews also fit the 37s or will you be offering different crews for those?
  16. A layout/diorama modelling such a scene would be very interesting. Would need a lot of wagons and not many locos. Lots of slow shunting moves etc. I guess the time delays between movements would not make it great for exhibitions and the length with fiddleyards would be enormous even if you did it as a circle/continuous run! 🤔
  17. Have ordered mine Mike! 👍 Or rather the cat did for me 😉
