  6. Morning Peeps Another day of being bombarded with boring tripe on the TV at 6am this morning , enough said. Today for me will be another day with the layout, Her is in the garden again today as the sun is out we are both trying to avoid a bird box with Blue Birds nesting that Her has put up on the wall right by where we access the garage and the conservatory. Tomorrow is the Bracknell show several of the ER team will be in attendance it's good in a way as Her will have the Windor show on, first I will partake in breakfast at Blackbush Airfield then jouney through the back roads to the show. enjoy your day all Ken
  7. It looks as if they have both had "The Order of the Boot" neither of them have posted since their last handbag event this morning.
  8. Pity Fluck & Law never got to grips with that one those guys were funny.
  9. I'm a royalist through and through. Btw BoD has hit another nail on the head.
  10. Couldn't you wait for the G.W.R. one ? , be bit careful with pony truck the axle keepers are a bit flimsy can you let me know if you managed to shorten the draw bar and run it without de-railment hapepening. Yesterday I had a mass running session and found my one started to de-rail on a curve it was running round last week with no issues so I started to mess with the track and it still came off I thought buqqer this I'll run something else and that came off I replaced the problem bit of track which turned out to be twisted it had been down 5 years, an hour later the problem was solved which was a relief. Staying with Heljan loco's my saddle tank managed 20 6 wheeled tanker through reverse curve it's the first time I had used it with anger it does look funny flying round with 12 coaches in tow.
  11. It probably is, their second hand prices are ridiculous the problem is there are mugs around who will pay those prices. The N7 thread is worth a laugh Edwardian and Alcoholic trade insults if you want more Mr Toxic AKA 7013 has posted on the Heljan 47xx thread a few years ago he was pretty nasty to me when I was a Newbe everytime he posted he is in moan mode I could not resist having a pop, I'm not the one to hold back.
  12. Morning Peeps I have left SWMBO to paint our bedroom it's the 3rd colour going on the wall within a year I said the first one was naff and she agreed after painting one wall but went on to paint them all just before Christmas she was at it again I said I would not do any of the work as you don't listen as usual again that colour was not to her taste and she is at it again probably to repaint it the original colour as no new paint has been purchased. While HER is doing that I'm off to the garage to tend to the layout I've a dairy complex to finish and a piece of track that has become a problem over the winter annoying as I had only ballasted it last year. Mike those McCarthy & Stone homes are weird I decorated some rooms for 2 ittle old ladies in different homes both managed by man hating women who read the riot act before I walk through the door no radios no noisy drills and all power sawing to be done in the bin area, you could hear a pin drop in those places the inmates all sat in the common room all day staring into space and tea was at three and I was invitied but decline there were no men in the place so I had a fear of ears being damaged had I attended Happy brithday Rick. have a good one. I.K.Brunel
  13. What bridge is that Tim ? I've seen it before but can't remember where.
  14. I've been naughty again an old adversary posted on the Heljan 47xx thread I asked him to do something with his avatar before he frighten the children away, a few agrees from the gang would not go a miss.
  15. Mike normally people will travel via the Motorways and just sit in the queues, Slough M4, Staines M25 and Bagshot M3 will be choc'o'block you might get snagged at Maidenhead for a while but Joe public motorist doesn't know what an A road is neither do those bloddy Sat-Nav things you can alway cut through White Waltham and down to Bracknell if the traffic grinds to a halt. I can't see what the attraction is to go to Windsor to look at back of some ones head or a castle wall and if your into third rate Royalty and Z lister actress it's best watched on telly at least you will see someting , it's not my cup (MUGA) of tea but I do wish them well. enjoy your evening O. Cromwell I nearly forgot I had 5 hours today operating the layout and doing minor repairs great fun better than doing buqqer "awl"
  16. C.K. round 'ere they normally toss it over the back fence or throw on a wet door step. Anyway Tim D a packet of what fags, biscuits, nose bags. ????? or are you on about that stripped beef can. Pah SR stuff.
  17. Ivan I take it you live in the london area ?? I'd go via High Wycombe A404 - Maidhead M4 Junction don't go on M4 take first left next roundabout 3rd exit -Holyport A330 turn right at Hawthorn Hill onto A3095 straight over next roundabout left at the next right at light straight over roundabout - Bracknell follow signs for M3 those 330 & 3095 roads are normally empty or light traffic on a Saturday apart from the OMIL's (suicide cyclist).
  18. Yo Peeps Chrisf everyone has their own ways of dealing with problems, sometimes you might have to upset others sorting it out to your satifaction if they are true friends they will come round and see your side of thing at some stage I had the same thing years ago and I popped the matey on the nose to my amazement everyone else gave me a pat on the back I'm not saying that's what you should do but you could mention thing in front of the others you might just twist that nasty mind of his, he could be that ignorant that he doesn't know that he is doing it.. My 2 daughters rarely pay us a visit to our surprise both have been back and forth for a week or so the youngest wants to borrow money for a deposit on a flat the other didn't want to leave Mercedes on her drive while they were on holiday no problem you can get 3 cars on mine with only one getting blocked in to top it all a chap turns up today to replace the windscreen as there was a large crack in it £95 later for the insurance excess out of my pocket anyway SWMBO gave her some ear-ache on the phone to make up for it we are going round hers for dinner at the week end the youngest took us to dinner Monday it's the first time I've not put my hand in my pocket to pay for meals with them, knock me down with a feather. enjoy your day A.D.Oormat
