  1. As Her and I have finished the decorating a few treats are due I took her to Alton there's a frock shop there she likes This evening I booked a village pub for 4 nights stay up in the Cotswolds next month shock and amazement she agreed on 2 railway trips the G&W Rly & the SVR the draw back is I will have to trawl round Hidcote & Panswick Manor Gdns but I might slip into Bourton on the Water Model shop, car museum etc on the way home. ( No Sat-Nav required !!! ) Must go watching Homeland on catchup and Her has managed to set the tele' ready to go. G. Oggle
  2. Knock me down with a feather I looked on Miss P's site all I found was your K42, so there's no hacking of brass to make them fit I'll ask Andy of Wizard to have 2 sets with end kits for me at Expo EM @ Bracknell. Thanks Rob
  3. Let me know Ivan I'm looking for some spares to get a dismantled one back on the rails not bothered if it doesn't run. Bob
  4. I get my waste of space co pilot SWMBO to keep an eye in the Sat-Nav for any roads showing up in red(denotes heavy traffic) while I concentrate on driving regular as clockwork we get stuck in traffic queues when we are stationary I ask her whats that on the screen. You can't make it up with that one. Back to today I had a fruitful trip to Alton I got most of what I wanted & more expense Her had more new clothes to fill an otherwise full wardrobe. Oooooo it nearly time for Eggheads B. Rain-box
  5. Afternoon All Has anyone managed put the K40 Comet sides on a Airfix "B" set coach with any success?.
  6. Phil what's wrong with the good old fashion cornflakes packets they made an entire village out of the stuff on Blue Peter . Enid Clive with your expertise are you going to start narating Thomas the Tank Engine on tele' as you tell a good tale about crashing trains.
  7. Morning Peeps Her and I are off to Alton the morning, Her will go to the clothes shops and I will go in the Model Centre for supplies, we will seek out somewhere suitable for a nice lunch on the return journey. Bob just remember if you have the in-car Sat-nav on you will have one telling where to go and the other one telling you how to drive, rule 1 never have the Sat-Nav sound on while SWMBO is sitting in the passengers seat that way you will have only one giving you ear ache or have the Sat-Nav on and if you are brave enough tell SWMBO to be quiet so you can here the thing. enjoy you day A.W. Andering
  8. Mike I'm sure we can keep giving him help & encouragement that wot mates are for init. just had a letter from the DVLA to tax the car, I do wonder if it's just a check to see if I still own car as it's exempt from tax duty. Her has finished with Her Duster and bought me up a coffee to the man cave I wonder what she whas me to do. Stay tuned. M.Y. Hackles-Rupp
  9. I think you got that wrong.
  10. If you all want a laugh have a look at Billy no Mates AKA Huw on the BRM page what a plonker .
  11. Sorry Ian I had a senior moment I missed the original botox post so there .
  12. Morning Peeps Up with the Lark as they say, SWMBO was doing her imitation of Peppa Pig at 6am grunting and snorting its hopeless tring to sleep when Her is in full chat, now the house is almost straight after this marathon decorating chore I' leaving Her to run round with the Duster I'm spending some time on the layout today landscaping and running some of the new stock that has not been out of the box yet, we might even walk over to the local restaurant to have a light lunch and a beer or two (stop press I've been told thats for tomorrow now) . I/we watched the Snooker final last night what a thriller it was better than the period drama tripe which was on the other channel Her can watch that on catch-up today tonight is catch-up of Homeland which I missed cos' we watched the same period tripe Sunday PAH. It was odd I had a dream last night about Chris Ewbanks, J.E Hoover and some Goblins were present I wonder what brought that on. Have a good one E.N.Gindriver
  13. Afternoon Peeps A couple of Buds have been necked I managed to see the last couple of frame of Snooker the last few frames should be good in the evening session. One storage heater put back on the wall, curtain rail attached as is safety straps on a draw unit two display cases, huge picture put up a screw in the wall to hang the clock on, a new plug on the multi-socket fixed on 1 deWALT battery on change and now the back aching plus 2 thumbs and a 2 inch scratch on the arm that p!ssed blood everywhere is sore I'm getting like my accident prone mate but will not reveal Bobs his name. Oh and I did manage spraying 3 LMS vans I had built in the week early this morning before SWMBO got Her ar$£ out of bed. Her now becons as dinner is ready . A. K.Nackeredone
  14. The last Neighbourhood Watch meeting I went to I asked a police officer when are you going to stop moaning about what you can't do becauce a lack of funds and tell us what he can do there was a deathly silence I then said have you lost your tongue with no response I got up and left others did follow, beat officers are a waste of time most of them who are just plain lazy worm their way into the job so they can idle, it's a shame as they make to rest of the hard work officers in the force look bad.
  15. Be assured Clive there won't be anything for you modelling those blue box things so your need not worry matey.
  16. I bought this for 20 quid the teak not perfect it's to be heavily weathered so hopefully won't look too bad, as teak hasn't got a uniform grain something near as possible to it should be acceptable to most modellers but current manufactures are struggling to get it right and will do forever more, an artist painting them might be the answer at great expense no doubt, i can replicate 12" to the foot teak but 1:76 scale I'm hopeless.
  17. Morning Peeps Hot here already this AM Her is clearing up while I've been ordered to start on putting things that need screwing back on the wall I did say were do you want to be put but that one went straight over Her head. We laughed last night when the Dacia ad' came on with the Dork cutting the grass in one I think GDB should grateful they named the model he has the Duster it could have been called Broom, Hand Brush or even Dust Pan I'm sure they will name the next model as something exacting as a cleaning implement I thought Dyson or VAX would be cool. enjoy your day A DeWALT
