  1. Hatton say the 47xx will/might be in stock May-June at least it will give people a chance to built up the railway tokens. Ernie is sending me some dosh this week so I can cover the cost of the pink coaches & two packs of wheels and a goodly amount to go to the 47xx SWMBO might not notice the true cost of that one. Mike Gambit
  2. The latest new on this loco. Hello We thought you may like to know that an item you have asked us to notify when it arrives into stock, has had some information about its release date added or updated. Heljan 4780 Class 47xx 2-8-0 "Night Owl" 4704 in GWR green with shirtbutton emblem £154.00 Our latest information from the supplier suggests this item will arrive with us between May 2018 & June 2018 Whilst we are hopeful this information is accurate, manufacturer lead times are frequently prone to be delayed. This information is to be used as a guide only. We hope that this email has been useful. Regards Retail Team Hattons Model Railways www.hattons.co.uk
  3. With all the gloom & doom on this thread and horrible weather how about this a nice sunny day in St Austell Cornwall. D Bailey
  4. It stands well on your layout better than I thought it would. Enjoy. Btw I just won 5 Airfix Stainer coaches on fleebay £30 only one buffer plate missing bargain. S.K.Inflint.
  5. Thats more money besides the cost of the book, I will need another 1/2 doz' pink team coaches having seen the coach formation lists on trains from the north just to cover a few of those movements SWMBO has gone into one about buying them so I told her it's all your fault.
  6. That was some week-end The Cornish Riviera Express GWR 175 years celebration run steam hauled charter Paddington-Penzance-Paddington in June 2010, check it out on Youtube there must be about 2 hours worth of viewing.
  7. Don't forget the flying helmet and goggles.
  8. In for a penny, might as well make it worth my while for a slapping.
  9. ref post 168475 Iooks like fun what a great way to spend the day at least your out of earshot of SWMBO.
  10. You big Jessie go rolling the mud. I.M. Notbothered
  11. Saw 4700/2 in the early 60's at Southall cabbed one or the other of them as some one was pinching the number plates, they were dumped there when Old Oak was cleared out, they are a big loco when you are a 10 y.o.
  12. I've had no issues with 3 of them, I do make sure the surfaces are well lubricated with silicone grease (I'm sure some numbnuts will say you should not have to)
  13. Morning campers. Has anyone stay in either of these places ? http://www.thebellwillersey.com/ http://foxinnbarrington.com/ Both are on the cards for our safari into deepest Cotswoldland for an early summer break and to play trains at the Gloucester & Warwickshire Railway our normal lodgings have hiked the price up 25%ish so they can swivel. GDB good luck with that Berlingo Camper it's got the added bonus of a large boot for shopping and putting your motorised bathchair in the back, it will also fit into a parking bay at Sainsbury's. Have a nice one youall

    Little Muddle

Cor that took you a long while to think that one up, Keep taking the pills dear boy.
  15. The GWR did not have many which were built in 1905 and would have all gone but a few in the 40's the GWR did hire some the information on these is a bit scarce, the Hornby one is pure fiction as are most if not all of the RTR's, for a GWR wagon best try and find 5 plank RCH wagon with a near correct underframe to hide under a sheet. Check this site out. http://www.gwr.org.uk/kits4rtrwagons.html
  16. You not planning to come back soon are you I'd say sod the expence and have another week.
  17. I've still plenty of rock salt in the garage from working days I got half a ton for £25 a few years back, I salt the paths of all the old dears that live on the road, I managed to sell half a bucket full for a fiver earlier today. Best buy the resealed bags in Wickes the local store use to sell them and half price. Stavros The train is ready I have been putting brake pipe couplings on all the stock it will pull that's if it can pull. I. Mustav Bemadd
  18. Baz why did you name all your sons Herbert ???

  20. So that's the monogram out the window, I'll run it plain green with no marking and attack it with a couple of cans of carp coloured airarsoles.
