I can relate!

Hi mate, it looks like you are using the 'entry image' button to add pics, but you might be better off using the 'attach files' button under the text window, as then you can add more than one pic to each blog post.
'Entry image' is more to make a thumbnail preview for the post.

It looks fantastic! You'd never guess the origins.

Just need to build one of SCC's FR Sharp Stewart 4-4-0 kits now, to act as a banker....
-
Goodness, that period 1 BG is especially nice.
-
Wow! Most excellent. This used to be my special treat when I was staying at my grandma's house as a boy.
Good luck with it and look forward to seeing updates.

Very nice. The basic frame in the second pic is a bit like a scaled up NG slate wagon!
-
Nice work, I've a Cambrian 'Turbot' in my to-do pile for when I muster up the courage, your stuff is pretty inspiring to get on with it!
-
Nice looking layout, I particularly like the way the goods yard fans out properly and doesn't stay too parallel to the station.

I vaguely remember seeing a layout somewhere that was designed to be viewed end-on. Possibly in an MRJ a long time ago. Must investigate!
There is a Dutch diorama that uses smaller and smaller models as it goes into the distance, you can see a video of it in action here:

Great idea, as others have said, the added depth makes one heck of a difference. Something that may be a fun challenge might be to make the new (currently missing) module able to work both as you have shown, but with the option to also allow all the parts to join together end-to-end? Then you could configure the layout according to the space available and vary the operating?

You are probably better off asking this in the main forum, as blogs are mainly used for modelling updates rather than queries.

You could run your very own RCTS special

You're not the only one having this issue. It seems to be a bad batch of late. I have to stir mine loads before use as it just does not set otherwise.

Looks great, I recognise those wagons! I have to say the blue and white carriages are rather lovely too.
Have you considered swapping the middle and front splashers around on the C class? Might give it a little individual flair?
-
On an episode of 'Amazing Spaces', someone used one of those to open a skylight in their house! Great idea
-
Yes they look good!
-
Good to see you modelling again. What did you use to scrape off the lettering?
-
Great to see Tweedale is evolving! Have you any plans to 'scenicify' this section?
-
That's so cool!

Looks ace, the space in the goods yard makes a huge difference. Reminds me a bit of the yard at Beamish

Great to see more from you Cap'n. Are you thinking of something like an inglenook or timesaver for this?
Sounds very sensible, for me there's nothing that boosts the creative juices more than being able to just sit down and immediately play trains, without having to unpack and set up a large layout.

Incredible!

Thats such a shame to hear you've got problems with it. They look so lovely.
