  1. Have just come across this thread, seriously impressive. Nice to see some larger scale models with detail rather than just track screwed to a plain painted board. Remind me to come back.
  2. Seen the pictures before as I suspect many of us here have. Not with so much rubbish written about them though!
  3. Bideford, Westward Ho! and Appledore
  4. Announced recently That said I was using one for directions a few years ago and it tried to send me the wrong direction along a one way street. now the question, would I fail for going the wrong direction, or disobeying the Sat Nav?
  5. Ah well at least we had supersonic passenger flight, no one has claimed to reinvent that.
  6. They also showed their new invention, a Maglev train. Don't know who was first but was certainly around in the UK into 1970's (?). Birmingham Int'l to Airport
  7. Jeff, I bought a Bachmann On30 when new to represent a cane loco, not long after my first trip in 2003. It is of course still in the box. Kev
  8. Aha somebody doing a Waterloo and City model. Just fancy a single one. Kev S
  9. Can anyone who hasn't replied to their invite or even if you have replied please contact the Exhibition Manager. There has been some communication issues. If you do not have the contact details PM me here and I can forward message or provide with contact information. Many thanks. Kev S
  10. Yes I'm certain it is, was there recently but on BUDD railcar 2301
  11. Thanks, the Roco have slightly different windows though for a video of one, latterly involved in a head on collision with a cane train.
  12. Peter, As said anyone who has previously exhibited will or would have had the contact details unless they threw them out? Equally as noted above the website is being rebuilt, the current page does NOT have a contact email during this process, the site being minimal during the rebuild. The correct / current email was posted above on this thread. train@exemrs.co.uk as a reminder. Kev S
  13. Who makes the models of the East German rail buses in message 41? Not to common anymore and one (4221) was seriously damaged in a ahead on collision with a cane train a couple of weeks ago.
  14. Because that's a very old address. train@exemrs.co.uk However anyone who has previously exhibited the same contact details will apply. Also bear in mind that the website is being completely renewed as mentioned there and elsewhere on RMWeb, hoped to go live April.
  15. Let me have aa sketch showing which bit you need, if we get there I'll give it a go. Need to be today or tomorrow morning. Measured up a cane car a few years ago at a hotel. Kev S
  16. Heading for the real thing Thursday (PTG Tours of Wantage) Hope some TU7 photos for the guy who's making the models which I might back up with an order.

    PO relays

Some of the lower resistance ones are quite sought after.
  18. TU7 in HO from a Bulgarian maker https://bultrains.alle.bg/дизелови-локомотиви/
  19. Made by Starline in Germany for Plasser's
  20. They were all scrapped around 1999. Class 47 website has some under construction and there are a few on flickr after withdrawal. I have some builders photos from W W Winter of Derby. There was an article a few years ago in Traction magazine. Most were stored at Cardenas and photos exist of a line up of them. They are no longer there as I have walked the area and could find no remains. Kev
  21. One of the three's mine.I recall one being pre ordered and at the third sold off stand at Warley. Modified class 47 diesels (T975) built Clayton Derby and BUDD railcars readily available. On of the BUDD's was ex Via Rail. Narrow gauge has awhile feast of options. Even British built Brush S1(3 foot gauge) https://www.flickr.com/photos/kevin-staddon/3349503441/in/dateposted-public/ (one of my pic's) Some more dumped in an old depot.
  22. Only just come across this, nice work. Do you really need worry about couplings other than position? If your going to use NEM pockets then it be more viable to buy in ready made couplers? Kev S
  23. Look forward to seeing it. Just booked for another trip next year. Not noticed any coffee groves in Cuba, but as I don't like the drink I wouldn't pay attention. Rapido Trains might be a good start GMD-1 in FCC livery.
  24. Robert, Purchased from eBay. Quite a fluke as I regularly look for Plasser ( I used to operate ) Normally expect to see stuff new at weekends, I think this appeared on a Tuesday. Came from China in a marked box (P&) which was also nicely done. I asked the seller if he knew who made it, he didn't, hoping there may have been other or similar models. Seller said a one off model. Although the box says Starline Resin I have not been able to find anything else further. Regards. Kev
