  1. Early 1980's to present. 77327 Currently with Colas in their livery, unsure how many others are still going in UK.
  2. Yes true but I wasn't working on the assist scenario. If you isolate the front E70 on an HST it cannot go forward as this one realises the brakes (Both front and rear apply them) so an HST can only be driven from a cab which has on operable E70.
  3. Unlike the HST where the Brake Conrol Units on the power cars, though electrically linked, only control brake pipe pressure, and if you can't get the electrics through you can isolate them and pipe a brake through as with normal hauled stock Unless the front one (E70) is isolated.
  4. Can try asking your bank for a refund to your account. I did similar last year successfully (Same bank company) after seller cut off all communication and didn't send the goods, full refund including shipping. The bank also temporarily froze her account on the basis of her fraudulent activity, expected contact after that but still nothing.
  5. 60MPH when loco hauled with a loco specifically fitted with a coupler. 30MPH when the adaptor used from the train.
  6. Why not have a Hornby or DJM 71 chassis? Subject to availability as spares.
  7. Any interest in these mag's. Society to which I belong have a carrier bag full, some but not all with the English sheets in. Location Exeter. Kev www.exemrs.co.uk
  8. You sign route and traction. Signing traction over a specific route does not exist e.g. HST to Barnstaple or Okehampton The driver will cost likely sign HST and may or may not sign route but as for combination, no.
  9. They (RTC) are a good company, partaken in few of their trips, most recently Switzerland in February.
  10. Who makes the Track Gopher? Thanks. Kev S
  11. The transmission oil must have been very frothy
  12. Countdown starting to Exeter 2018, probably started at last years show with enquiries about this year. Still awaiting some confirmations for layouts. Kev www.exemrs.co.uk
  13. Stone pebbles for use in cosmetics. From my local station (Whimple) in the 1960's forwarded to Portishead via Exeter Riverside.
  14. Rafael Freyre, lovely line. Adolf Hungrywolf had a house in the area and is I think involved with some renovation process. Even had a real steam event on the line once when a loco was used to convey water to remote parts long after mill closed. Also line has a narrow gauge ambulance as parts are so remote.
  15. Sadly no room or so I would be told if I acquired. Fond memories of Cuba from my first visit in 2003 with some interesting stuff available then. Last real steam seen was Brazil mill in 2009 fireless locos. Some new loco's and railcars arriving from Russia at present although my last visit was last year. Maybe return next year.
  16. For positioning plant rails at10' Allowed gantries to run for relaying, could also reposition to 4' or anywhere within reach. Plasser machines had additional gear along the power unit associated with the rp gear to further position the rails. Kev S Ex operator
  17. No way was that a SPAD. Just how long do you think it takes to stop, no warning etc? Who do you think the railway has distant signals?
  18. You can get parts to substitute battery trays for D type cells.
  19. OK so maybe it was re-introduced in the late 80's early 90's as it wasn't in use in my early BR days. Also green hand signal at level Xings under local control and points secured for wrong direction movements under single line working. Kev
  20. The green for shunting is relatively new (Probably older than I think) for moving cautiously. Green is also used for guard despatch on LHS (Sleeper trains etc) or where else maybe required under the rules. Red vertically is used for create brake for a test or by clenched fist (Trainspotters note this is NOT to sound horn) Have taken many Bardics apart as I frequently repaired them, not so often now as their use is getting reduced, have a reasonable amount of spares.
  21. That looks more like a "Limited Clearance" sign. Used on any close structure next to the line. Self explanatory.
