morning all,cool here,still stiff after yesterdays seized xc90 driveshaft......plenty of heat and 25 tons saw it off !! on the subject of Hornby,all I can say I have no complaints,i have allways found them helpful and willing to help with any problems in the past,unlike bachman whos costomer service is a little rude to say the least,although this is a couple of years back and it put me off buying anything from them since,3 faulty locos and being charged just to look at something that should be warranty......I don't think so.if we tried that we would soon be on watchdog,anyway its soon the weekend....missis had checkup beast no 2 all ok,not long now ! looking forward to chrismas,has anyone heard how don is? im still catching up as ive been away for some time.have a good day all and a great weekend.

morning all,cold here too and still dark,missis sent me for the flu jab last week,mainly due to beasty no2 on its way,been wrough since !! just waiting for the first costomers to arrive,still nice and quiet have a good day all.

morning all,damp here...also pond fitted to ramp in night....must be doubling as a car wash! cracking cars smiffy,don't think the missis would be too happy with me doing that with the moggy!! and I think the zephyr might be a little big,though it does slide quite well,usually followed by a punch from the navigator! managed to clear away work bench clutter to make a start on the wd,also instructed to fill up at shell by the domestic authoritys as theres lego for no1 son.....have a good day all.

morning all,wet and windy here,rain sensors.....don't go there.....my old zephyrs got vacume wipers....put your foot down and there very intermittent!! let go and they try to rip them selfs from the screen !! as for the electrical variety,theres a sensor on the windscreen,when a certain percentage of the sensor is coverd by rain drops the wipers are activated,some cars are sensitive as in the amount and speed of the drops of water hitting the sensor will effect the speed of the wipers,some just wipe at a pre determined speed,like intermittent ones,if rain does not hit the sensor area they don't work! they often have a separate fuse so its worth checking them,and that the sensor is secure to the screen,usually near the rear view mirror,its also got to be clean on the outside so it can see out,hope this is a bit of help! have a good day all.

morning all,damp but thankfully not raining,jack was up with the birds this morning so we went down stairs to give mum a bit more kip before I went to work! petes dodgy plane sounds fun......not....there was a good doc last night about a mosquito raid,30ft above the channel at full pelt......different breed of people.....its sad to think just how few people at the garage where I work know about things like this....its either im getting old or we don't teach about it anymore? have a good day all

morning all,cool and dry in chesterfield,busy to work though,just awaiting the first costomers ,jack had one of those nothings right days yesterday,unless its s secret ploy to test mum and dads sanity.....got a e mail from the nrm,they have managed to find some drawings ive been after,so will make a visit as soon as I can,have a good day all.

evening all....had a wonderfull week in cornwall,warm and very sunny,not like that now....cold and wet,and that's just in the workshop! spent most of the time walking on the beach with jack or running after him trying to catch seagulls! good run home too 5 and a bit hours 347 miles not bad....has anyone heard how don is? I like the ship parked on the beach debs.....looks like it even brought its own digger too ! like something from thunderbirds! have a good day tomorrow all !

morning all,cool here,went to the park last night straight from the dentist let jack burn some energy off! and took my mind of the ache! got hold of some cracking wd 2 8 0 drawings with the help of a chap I bumpted into at guildex,so hopefully I can restart this ! on the subject of aircraft theres some realy good interviews with pilots on youtube,beaufighter,typhoon,and theres a realy good bit on the whirlwind,another almost forgotten plane that was quite a handy beast by all accounts! have a good day all.

morning all,thankyou for the kind messages,congrats to ian and sherry too,im still catching up so forgive me if ive left something out,cold here,still dark too....tash gone to work,jack still very asleep,rabbits fed and all seems ok this morning,telford was very good,fairly quiet run there and back too,didant manage to bag anything in the competion but theres allways next year.....ive posted a few pictures on flickr under guildex 2014,ive got the rest to sort out when I get time,dentist again today,all I can think of is andy b,s avatar........have a good day all.

morning all,yep im off to telford in the morning too,missis had second scan,all ok looks like a girl, so one of each ! left jack watching tree fo tom,he used to stand on a small box to see through the window when I left for work,now just level with it ! scary how quickly hes grown...have a good day all.

morning all,cool and damp here,quiet from chesterfield to Sheffield much better than expected,we took jack to Whitby on satarday managed to see a proper steam train at pickering,ex Lambton collery engine,ill post a picture if I can figure how to?dont know how many miles me and jack must have done up and down the beach !! he slept soundly on way home,i just ached!! last run for my old citroen,15yrs old and 171300,should be going today,bit like loosing an old friend....have a good day all.
