  1. I think it is a case of belt and braces in case of any failures, which I think shows good planning by LU. XF
  2. I saw the layout at Railex yesterday and it is superb, greats detal and very realistic . I have never being a fan of the Voyagers however 2 5 cars sets coupled together on this layout do look impressive. XF
  3. Don't you mean "Proper Job" as that be the Cornish way me'ansom! XF
  4. Now that's down under & dirty a Maidenhead destination on a Cornish layout in Aussie! XF
  5. Nice garden and video, I assume the cat is a vegetarian and is not interested in the birds XF
  6. Here are a couple of photos of a Red Kite circling over my garden this evening. Nigel
  7. It looks a nice model I just hope that Bachmann make it easier to install a single DCC decoder in this unit which controls the 2/3 coaches, with sufficient space to house it and that the internal lights will be able to be switched off! XF
  8. Cats usually bury their mess as most cats are clean creatures and hate their own mess. I used have a cat that used a litter tray would bury it and bang on the lid until I cleaned it up ! XF
  9. I have seen the Police in the road a number of times however it is not illegal to feed birds, however I would be breaking the law if I flew a radio controlled aircraft from my garden as I am near an airport! I am not advocating any cull of these birds but more a control of what appears to be an excessive food supply with a number smaller alternative food forces at other nearby locations being provided. I find the aircraft can be annoying sometimes however they were in area way before me so I can't complain however a the Tornado jet passing very low over my house at high speed prior to an airshow a few years ago was less than welcome! XF
  10. The birds have been fed by someone who lives on the perimeter of White Waltham Airfield and this is causing issues with aircraft landing and taking of from the airfield. Whist they are beautiful birds the numbers are getting out of hand- remember they are scavengers and the Crows regularly chase some of then away. XF
  11. I counted 45 Red Kites circling near my house recently with similar numbers appearing every day. These lovely birds are becoming a pest as their breeding appears to be out of control and they no longer a rare sight in East Berkshire. XF
  12. W.E.T. with Jeff Scott Soto on lead vocals XF
  13. I despair how can a manufacturer design a simple lighting circuit which should be a standard for all similar models and then not use it in later products! When are Bachmann going to realise that their deoders do not easily fit into the space provided in their units.- the Class 105 DTC springs to mind. It has taken me up to 2 hours to fit decoders to Bachmann DMU's and EMU's getting the bodies of without damaging them can be very time consuming and replacing even more difficult. This hardly inspiring to prospective new entrants to our hobby! Hello Barwell are you listening? XF

  16. Having just got around to fitting the decoders to mine I am afraid that the interior lights are on all the time. What a pain to get these lovely units apart and fit decoders, come on Bachmann how about a decoder design clever? XF
  17. Watch out for women that are erratic and hard to control as they most likely have a chip on their shoulder XF
  18. I remember seeing this pair on the Slough - Windsor & Eton Central branch. XF
