How can a country pay millions of people not to work...period!

  2. Good day at Bury, although sheltering from the rain next to a stall of goodies lightened my wallet a bit.

  4. Looking forward to the Olympics. The railway room is a TV free zone so will be the ideal sanctuary.

  5. Carlsberg have stopped brewing Ansells Mild, saying there's no demand. If you don't make something available you can't expect it to sell. Still, never was the same after Aston Cross closed down.

Carlsberg don't do closures. But if they did, they would be the best closures in the world. Probably.

Im lucky in having a fleet car. When it breaks down you just should loudly and someone comes and gets it and brings you another one to play with for a while. Mind you i'm paying for it all in CCT.

Looks as if I picked a good time to go away. Otherwise I could have done some modelling.

  13. Intended MTB route snowbound, so we went the other side of the hill and it was clear, no snow in sight.

  14. Carpet Fairy Strikes Again!! Where did I put my supply of spare brake levers?

  16. What a difference a week makes. Last Wednesday a picnic in Lyme Park, this week virtually snowed in.

  17. Bought a nice looking but sticky running gronk. Guessed right, after 10 grams of congealed white grease scraped out and with a smear of model oil it runs a treat.

  18. Why in this country do we pay over a million people not to work then expect volunteers to run all sorts of things for free?

Been there and got plenty of T-Shirts, ties and coffee mugs. Suppose I could always auction those as collectable.

  24. Service, MOT, exhuast and front brakes need fixing, cost about 2 locos over budget. Oh well, back to recycling old rolling stock for a while.

    1. The Stationmaster

      The Stationmaster

Fortunately my bill on Friday was restricted to front brake pad renewal, the MoT was free as it's covered by the service plan. But it was still the cost of a commissioned loco model.

  25. Hacked off with hearing about the Leveson Inquiry.
