  1. Hi everyone The newest Apt-e update has just been sent out and here is what it says - Newsletter Special - APT-E In our last Newsletter prior to the Chinese New Year, we broadly advised you of the planned shipping details for the APT-E, which was as precise as possible at the time. Since then we have received additional information that provides a little more clarity as to when the models will actually arrive with us at Locomotion. The shipment of models which are heading our way by boat left China just a day or so before Chinese New Year. We have been advised by our shipping agents that although the ship will make good time there will be up to at least a two week delay while the ship awaits to be unloaded at Felixstowe. Apparently this delay is normal this time of year, which although is frustrating for all concerned nothing can be done according to out shipping agent to expedite matters any faster. This two week delay will certainly take us to the third quarter of March. As for the models being shipped via airfreight, we are still awaiting confirmation from both Rapido and then our shipping agent. We have been advised that it is quite common for there to be a slow start to manufacturing in China after their New Year, not unlike it is in the UK, however we have been advised that the models scheduled for airfreight are progressing through the final stages of manufacture and more information will follow shortly. Our best estimate for delivery into Locomotion will be during the last week of March or the first or second week of April. We appreciate that these delays are extremely frustrating especially for those who have paid in full for the models and are anxiously waiting for delivery. As it will be appreciated we are very much subject to that vagaries of shipping product half way around the World. We are continually monitoring the situation and will advise you all on a regular basis as to any developments and delivery information for the APT-E. Sandra Rewcastle and Simon Kohler will both be present at Model Rail Scotland this coming weekend on Stand B34 and they will have with them a finished APT-E especially shipped in for the event, and both Sandra and Simon will be happy to show off the model over the weekend. In the meantime should you have any questions or concerns about your order please contact Sandra Rewcastle on 01904 685785 (new number and we are still in Shildon!) or via email to Sandra.Rewcastle@durham.gov.uk Sign up to our newsletter (the monthly edition is due out in the next week) Sign up at www.locomotionmodels.com - you need to scroll to the bottom of the home page to find it - I should really move it to the top!
  2. Hopefully I'll get it on the website by the end of the weekend. So keep watching! AND it's IN STOCK NOW!!!!!!!!
  3. OK Guys.... the King is in the country!! Barring roadworks, the A1M1 altogether and spilt milk they should be with me by Monday shipping Tuesday! If you haven't paid yet - you need to!
  4. Hi, We are trying to get a definite date from Hornby at the moment for delivery and as soon as we get the info I will pass it on Cheers Sandra
  5. Quite a few people have asked about coaches and it is something I have passed on. I think you all need at least 15 to make a good train!!
  6. Hi, Coldgunner is correct - the roof is lighter and it has a pale yellow stripe around it. The blue is also slightly different. Not noticeable really until you put the East Coast Mainline version against a preserved liveried model.
  7. Enjoyed your video! All the variants are still in stock and this time around it will probably be the weathered of both dp1 and koyli that sell out first. I thought it would be sound but I got it wrong! Surprising so it seems! Cheers Sandra
  8. My cupboard is a tip with all these KOYLIs and Deltics.... Hope to get rid of some tomorrow!
  9. Hi all Deltic DP1 and KOYLI in stock this week so hopefully shipping starts on Friday. Watch for UPS on Monday!
  10. If you haven't reserved a King George V yet .. get in now there are only a few spaces left!!
  11. The class 20 gloss finish is Ex DickKerr works. I know these things although I have probably spelt it incorrectly!
  12. Thanks Ian..I would like to say the gloss finish was my idea but alas I cannot tell a lie! All I do is wrap em up !
  13. Well done! I saw the pre production sample. Even though it still needed a few tweaks it looked fantastic. I think you will love it!
  14. Hi, sorry you got a faulty model. In box me with your name and address and I'll get you a new one sent out asap. I'll get the faulty one collected at the same time. Or ring me 01388 771413 although I'm not back at the museum until Thursday. Cheers Sandra
  15. The last time locomotionmodels did the DP1 it was in the East coast mainline livery. Only 500 were produced then and no more have been made until now. All Deltics prior to those were in its preserved livery. So not many of ours around! The KOYLI is in BR blue from its 1979 ' in service' colour and you all know you want one 'cos it hasn't been done before I don't think.
  16. DP1 is in its East Coast mainline livery. The blue is slightly lighter as is the roof.
  17. Hi everyone...its on the website now. If you can't see it when first logging on to the site just refresh the page! Any questions - just ask! Cheers Sandra
  18. Hi everyone I will be sending emails to everyone who has their name on my list for a Class 20 DCC Ready today. A delivery is on it's way and hopefully will arrive this morning. Sound to follow in a couple of weeks. If you haven't reserved one and don't want to miss out, can you send me a message on here or ring my mobile 07766 785333. (I'm working from home) They will go on the website on Saturday morning and I wanted to sort out all the pre orders first! Cheers Sandra
  19. All the versions have been great sellers. Every modeller likes each one for a different reason. It could fit the period of their layout, it could have a family connection, or pure nostalgia. There are also collectors who have no intention of running them, it's an addition to there nrm exclusive/LNER/1900s etc collections. I hear so many nice stories from so many nice people on the reasons why they picked this one of that one. I'm happy if you get the models you want, and everything works as it should and you get value for money (which I think you have, these are stunners!) let's see what comes next......................
