  1. A couple of quick questions. I've seen the term 'East Coast livery' for DP1. What is the difference between that livery and the preserved livery, and what livery were the very first Bachman run of these locos in? Thanks.
  2. I thought it was a perfectly reasonable analogy. The colour of your wing mirrors hardly impacts on the functionality of your car now does it? Also it is taken for read that this is not life or death in the scheme of things and any comments made are in that context.
  3. Sometimes however I think we are a little too forgiving about the sloppy livery errors all manufacturers seem to make. If you bought a new car and they had forgotten to paint the colour co-ordinated wing mirror covers would you be happy to paint them yourself? I often wonder where it goes wrong. Are livery specs wrong or are the factories not following them correctly?
  4. Nevermind the over large numbers on 73 102, surely the livery application is fundamentally wrong?? Look at the position of the nameplate and BR logo? Am I missing something? https://www.flickr.com/photos/paul-green-photography/8172219332/ http://www.kernowmodelrailcentre.com/p/37834/4D-006-000-Dapol-Class-73-Electro-Diesel-Locomotive-73-102

    Sealink

Found this on Flickr. Presumably the same day. Is the location Sheffield? Anyone know the train details? https://www.flickr.com/photos/60854097@N06/6672564699

    Sealink

What about a Peak? I saw 45 148 heading south through Durham on a special on Saturday, 31st May 1986. I took the attached picture but unfortunately it doesnt exactly show the coaches but believe me it was a rake of Sealink Mk1s.
  7. Bit of a catch 22 as I suspect these coach packs would sell well if a follow on 2x SK pack was already promised. Do you buy this first release hoping for the latter?
  8. Apologies, I hadn't realised that the last upgrade of the class 45 was more than just adding lights and a split headcode version. Either way more flush fronted versions would be very welcomed. Getting back to topic, I think the idea of a second run of a pair of Sealink SKs for the Collectors Club is a great one allowing you to model a more prototypical train.
  9. Think there is some confusion over the definition of 'new tooling' here. I would describe it as the change from the old Mainline model to the Bachmann releases of 45041, Ixion etc. as that was the significant body retooling (albeit the nose seam was missed on the first batch), i.e. not just adding lights. I'm guessing others do too.
  10. Modelzone's Ltd Ed Ixion is 100% the new tooling including the nose seam.
  11. 66 705 is named 'Golden Jubilee'.
  12. Here is a comparison picture of two Heljan 33s straight out of the box.
  13. Answered my own question by emailing LT shop. 504 of each model.
  14. Does anybody know how many models these have been 'limited' to?
  15. Now available to pre-order: http://www.ltmuseumshop.co.uk/models/trams-and-trains/product/Bachmann-london-underground-current-corporate-style-liveried-class-20-locomotive.html http://www.ltmuseumshop.co.uk/models/trams-and-trains/product/Bachmann-london-transport-liveried-class-20-diesel-locomotive.html
  16. Does anybody know if these new 33/0s have a reprofiled roof as per the 33/1s? It is difficult to tell from some of the web photos. Thanks.
  17. Does anybody know of any retailer still with these in stock? A search of the internet has failed to find any. Unfortunatley, much to my annoyance, the retailer I pre-ordered mine from has sold out and cannot fulfill my order for these first releases. Thanks.
  18. Have I missed them or has the late crest Clan not appeared yet? If so has anybody any idea what the delay is? Thanks
