  1. Commendable to create a new event but this exhibition clashes with Great Electric Train show at Milton Keynes for 2024 and there is already a model event at Statfold earlier in the year.
  2. I really hope that the Pig's issues can be resolved, it's a well suited locomotive to the line plus it's my daughter's favourite ever since it took her to see Santa in 2015. We have made a promise to ourselves yesterday to get a ride behind the Pig again in the future as we couldn't get to the line on Sunday as I came down with COVID on Saturday evening.
  3. Geoff, many thanks for the suggestion I didn't know about that group and it's good to know I am not the only person with the issue. I will give the longer presses a go. I am definitely not brave enough to give dismantling the throttle a go!
  4. My DT402 is plugged into a digitrax DB150 unit. DB150 is powered from a DCC Supplies Transformer
  5. I have a digitrax dt402 throttle. I have noticed that it doesn't respond constantly to button presses. Most obvious is changing direction or dialing in a locomotive address. For example if I press 6023 address as I type the numbers they should appear in the screen, however 6 and 0 will then 2 won't but after pressing 3 the full number appears. On direction press to change but it isn't carried out and it can 2 or 3 presses before it acknowledged. Has anyone got any suggestions as to what could be the problem. Many thanks
  6. Interesting to see Hornby advertising train sets for Christmas on the Chiltern service I travelled on this morning. Not something I have seen before
  7. A retooled Pannier and an 8f would do well. Bahamas as preserved seems like an open goal, but they could make it a club model. An NG16 got short shrift from the Bachmann rep at the Gaydon show on Saturday, when I was earwigging a conversation.
  8. Hornby Magazine have produced a short video to provide some information on the show. Especially note the parking arrangements are off site (except blue badge holders)!on the Saturday due to a football game at the stadium https://youtu.be/-YERqlZRYNw?si=ET96XTW4ZV7Q6-y5
  9. Here is the reply I got from DCC concepts which at the time I did think was odd given what I had read up on the product
  10. An exciting project which I am sure will do well. I wonder if it will come with a boxing glove to put on the regulator quadrant to avoid our 4mm crew from hitting themselves on it as per 2253?!?
  11. http://kilburnwesthampstead.blogspot.com/2018/06/the-kilburn-state-cinema.html?m=1 this page has a poster for Cliff's appearance at the Empire. Apologies for thread drift.
  12. Looking very good. I am looking forward to my 1980 version arriving.
  13. It wouldn't directly open for me either, however if you email the download to yourself it may well then open.
  14. Saint or County. A more left field choice would be an S160.
  15. It reminds me of an LNER crane such as the one shown in the photo at Pickering. Click on the photo to be taken to the site
  16. Interesting episode. The starter locomotive is interesting as I hadn't seen it in the 2023 range launch so I presume it is coming in 2024. The Jules Holland segment was especially fun as he gave a tour of his layout. My daughter watching with me enjoyed the comments about making room for a model railway! However the best bit was she now wants to help with building some scenery on our layout this weekend - so the program does inspire the next generation
  17. No problem. Pdf added. It is also on the page the service link will take you to. Adrian Shooter CBE OOS.pdf
  18. The celebration of Adrian's life was held on Saturday 7th January at Fawley Hill Railway. If you would like to donate in his memory to the Motor Neurone Disease Association this can be done here https://adrianshooter.muchloved.com/ If you want to watch the service this is available at https://www.funeralstream.tv/shooter
  19. At 2019 Warley I got a returned Bachmann scenecraft Kernow Truro signal box for £16 yes it had broken steps but they were easily and cheaply replaced with plastruct equivalent. An absolute bargain.
  20. An enjoyable exhibition with a good variety of layouts and traders. Here is to 2023!
  21. https://content.keypublishing.com/central/issues/documents/5850_622493/index.html is a link to the show guide
  22. Last night's program was very enjoyable. Enthusiastic presenters who connected with the modellers and engineers on the show. Great fun.
  23. This popped up on Facebook https://fb.watch/dKxWSWN846/ I wonder if the sound clip is overlaid on the video or it will be on the DCC sound version
  24. The livery on the real thing doesn't appear to be a consistent colour as it changes with the light from my experience yesterday at the SVR, so I think it's going to be impossible to get a match. Regardless it is clearly a popular model and that is good to see.
  25. Great to see further progress. Your search for additional storage inspired me to look at my own layout and think a bit laterally, so I am now mid way through building a suitable fiddle yard. I feel the pain on surface mounted motors I am currently working on the peco versions!
