Pah! My little Peggy wasn't interested in those common flavours,oh no! She much preferred an at risk species, and to be more precise the offspring of one, in this case a juvenile Bullfinch. I miss that little cat but her passing has certainly helped with keeping the endangered list a little lower.

I use one of these myself. https://www.scalemodelshop.co.uk/plastic-scriber-ii-tamiya-74091-p12642 @MrWolf also used to score thicker sheet plastics before snapping to get a nice clean line on the material 👍

Does butanone work on pre-painted chairs and sleepers?

I understood that butanone was the recommended solvent for ply sleepers and plastic chairs? Is the butanone old, as it may expire and loose it's potency? You can buy it quite cheaply in eBay, or at least you could a year or so ago 👍 -

I was thinking of placing me Charlie's in D&C, but I thank you for the info on the Paneers 👍 I must admit to not knowing much about them, although I have both a 57XX & 8750 from Bachmann. I think I might just squeeze a Charlie in on an engineers train (and pretend very, very hard). 😬

You can't have enough Charlies (although I think my great uncle Fred, fitter at Eastleigh, called them Coffeepots). Same as Panniers, you should always have one more than you've got... although I'm struggling to place one on a ex LSWR branch in Devon/Cornwall but that's my problem 😬
