  1. Iron mink designs are non commercial. So doubt shapeways would do it.
  2. My LRM one is coming along well, just detail parts and move some brake gear which is clashing,
  3. We were chatting in the office back in pre covid era, a youngish lad who goes to see bands was raving about the guitarist (not sure who), saying best he has seen and best there is. Anyway I have see some of the best in the world, so mentioned seeing Van Halen in 1984, at the time Eddie Van Halen was probalby the best guitarist there was. Others including Gary Moore. Then I mentioned that the older boss, can out do that. He mentioned going to a festival with friends, and who was there? Jimi Hedrix. So I outdid with EVH and I was outdone with Hendrix.
  4. OK try us? Then I will do my story of out doing and being out done.
  5. Will the Bachmann glazing and underframe fit a Triang body? 2 BSO and a TSO, hmmm
  6. I am now working on a mineral wagon rake. 34 16t minerals. 10 MCV 20 MXV or MCV with Morton 4 10ft MCV This will be a lot of redin and LMS buffers. So far 1 in paint, 1 near complete, 2 parts collected. 6 good MCV prints, and 2 10ft. Iron Mink has done MXV .stl and i will start on these next weekend. Now transfers. Need a lot 34 16t mineral, 4 MDV , most of a pool MSV. Who does pool numbers and bigger tops boxes. Took me ages to decypher my notes. Dome mad person wrote down all running numbers, tares, brakes, tops codes. All were NTF no top flap, but i could not remember NT, until last night. No TOPS, as in no boxes. Currently in works. Ex GWR branch corridor set, 1 vehicle being soldered. Ex LMS BT Ex LMS hoppers 6 done out of 12, 6 to print. BR 1 2A 2D 2E 2F set half done, sprayed 2E TSO yesterday grey. Clayliners Various pre 64 vans 2 mineral rakes Mixed hopper, mineral, tube rake Stone rake. Layouts stalled in case we move home, as may downsize.
  7. Stroud Valley was a good example of 14xx usage .
  8. Small prairies for branches, 14xx worked local mainline services.
  9. Frames easy part flush glazing not so. Has to be hand cut
  10. That MCV is mainly 3d printed, but LMS buffers, and i fitted brass bearings. Odd it feels softer at 5 second than a 2.5 second test print left in the sun. Will leave todays 4 prints in the sun over the week.
  11. I need a lot more Mark 1s but availablity is not great at the moment, so considering Comet ones. As to Mark 2/2a, there is an accurate model you could fit the Bachmann windows and bogies to, scrapping the shells. Triang Hornby, they are spot on with major dimensions, just the glazing, and poor bogies on later ones, they do scrub up well. This is why I asked for one to be put next to a Accurascale 2B, to show how accurate the new model is. You get the feeling the toolmakers got to play with a real Mark 2.
  12. I want a longer* mineral wagon train, so started the usual bid on Airfix 16T with low bids, did not get any. 4 are 10ft, 4 or 5 are 8 shoe. Anyway will be maximum of 34, aiming for 15 or so. So of course checked thingiverse, printing out 2 at a go, now using ABSlike resin, no topflap conversion, no VB conversion, BUT no suitable for 9ft, so will be attempting my first resin axlebox swap, just need some split ones. Also at the annoying stage of needing a minimum of 6 of a particular loco class, 4 of another, and a lot more of a third. Getting to stage of not another 47. * got a 6 modeled so far of 9 MCV MXV MDV mixed rake
  13. More they are so expensive, oh and there are better tractor manufacturers.
  14. Accurascale EE Co Co with sound and DCC are getting there, i actually want some DC 50s.
  15. I need to build a new PC, how do I use the software on Linux? Dislike W10, refuse to use W Sausage
  16. They do 37s, and 37s pull them
  17. Just different sizes, as to 4 4 0 they are all similar. Same as most GWR panniers. More variety with prairies.
  18. Sorry I don't know, I was working off spotting information, then found a picture.
  19. Only got two but they would fit my plans fine .
  20. Yes, some had cranes. Either fit cranes or break off all end bits. The instructions are not exactly good. Crane ones fit with my plans.
  21. If you want it make it, i don't have the time to wait. Been waiting 40 years for cross country DMUs so made my own. I also have a short wishlist in with ironmink. Who was already considering the wagons. If any are done chassisless, would be my request due to different axleboxes .
