  1. I am considering one, but want to see if worth it. Stability on long items, would a carriage chassis be solid and not warp? Shrinkage, how much? Gluing , what would be used? Attaching plasticard, cast resin, brass, and phototropic resin items. How small can you go, for holes and the like? Brittleness, how brittle is it? Not going to do high detail as i have a mars 2 pro for that.
  2. MJT bogie sideframes are quite good. But every bogie needs a good source. Could do with good DMU bogies, i am using resin cast copies of beefed up lima, and resin copies of trix Swindon
  3. And then i have not bought anything of theirs new in ages. Just second hand HST stock in blue grey with a certain glazing tint.
  4. Want doppler effect, Valentas were great for this.
  5. What was the point of that? They could have painted them up but left as models rather than toys.
  6. Constantine is not very big, Gweek small, but Argal dam was not built them AFAIK. That hill out of Argal is definitely a full throttle one when towing. Would have been very scenic.
  7. So got a few to replace with Meth burners. Steam car, and a couple of traction engines (not mine). My TE is meths as is my 2 cylinder engine
  8. I think I may 3D print these as Peco Bullhead are very pricy. But I need a squirty plastic printer as build be too small on Mars2 Pro.
  9. Can't even log in now , they removed limited use mode. And work pay them, i have used better. Remote desk top is better
  10. Bl**dy teamviewer I wish they would stop messing up the way it works. They should get back to software and give up football.
  11. Which singer? Peter Gabriel or Phil Collins?
  12. 0.5mm brassswire bought mine over a decade ago and still OK, bought a few cheap.
  13. I wa sonce wondering if this could have happened so I worked out a rough route with OS maps. Mullion MAY have made sense, but south of there all smallish villages. However Porthleven MAY have had enough traffic. Coverack / St Keverne would have been doable, but again traffic. Just found this https://www.thelizard.uk/the-lizard-light-railway/ No where near Mullion, but the last bit I had more or less correct.
  14. I do have the book, that is all I do have.
  15. Do not eat your razor saws. They do have warnings.
  16. I use a rather powerful version capable of running 50 user systems quite successfully.
  17. Which dialect? My favourite is the Extended Systems (Sybase) version of CDX, then COMIX, then NTX
  18. Got to be quick into the thread before it is complete.
  19. Cury / White Cross / Cross Lanes. Viaduct over the valley with stream going to Poldhu. East side of Mullion, where it is flat. Lizard would be possible as quite flat.
  20. Most of these will be sidings, but recovering the concrete sleeper stuff will save money.
  21. 2 undamaged points, 3 heavy damage, a few from a garden circuit last house. 10, or 11 so far being checked, so far one may be scrap, need 4 springs so far. Heaviest repair so far is one third copper clad, and i just worked out a new repair method for the point motor sectoon.
  22. I am going to give a shout out to the hobby givers. The people teaching, the free software people, the free 3d designs. It is great that people give freely to the hobby.
  23. New value of recovered track is over 100 now. Rebuilt one point onto copper clad sleepers. Also was given a lot of old flexi track with steel rail, will strip dome for sleeper base. I reckon i will lose the equivalent of 1 piece of concrete track. 4 good points, 2 needing small repairs, 1 needing rebuild, at least 6 still to lift.
