Who’s this Matt Varnish that seems to be involved in many weatherer’s threads.
He must be awfully busy, he seems to finish everybody’s models off.
-
When you move all your model boxes from one large storage box to another seemingly larger storage box only to find it is actually a tad smaller than what you had before......

For someone who's mojo seems down I am spending a lot of time today considering selling my OO GWR and investing in OO diesels for a little stabling point...

Just heard an Air Raid siren go off in Manchester.
War in Ukraine, Energy problems and inflation - I thought it couldn't get any worse in 2022.

YouTube is starting to fill up with reviews of the same TT120 Scotsman pack.
Arghhhhh
-
I'm surprised about this - after all, TT(120) is a new scale / gauge combo in the UK market, so I wouldn't have expected too many people to have a call for it yet.
Like (I suspect) a number of people, I'm too heavily invested in OO.
Personally, I would have much preferred to see affordable RTR UK HO (something I've wanted for decades) - although everyone is likely to have their own opinions.
Of course, with me being in my late 50s, I need to think about what I'm likely to be able to comfortably see / work on in future years - TT would just be too small for me.
I guess I'm not their target market.
-
All this investment by the trade in TT will only mean more shortages of basic OO scale stuff, like right hand turnouts, track joiners, spare couplings, fencing. All their bread and butter items. You only have to watch Hornby's YouTube channel to understand where their young marketing minds are at. We're doomed.

Perhaps I should be modelling rather than perusing RMWeb today.
1: reset the IP Configs to centre
2: remove them and the track
3: attach small board extension
4: Get down to B&Q for some light brown paint to seal the boards
5:help Mrs W with her tax return
6:plonk track and prepare for relaying.

There's a Queen record playing in my mind at the moment.
Dum dum dum.....

Is a bit miffed when Pocket Mags appear to do the dirty on a subscription so they can more than double it.
Maybe I will go Gold after all.

Twice now today I have remembered the saying "if you have nothing good to say, say nothing"

Why the heck is anyone thinking about a return of imperial measurements for shops?
Anyone else think this is a recipe for profiteering on customers by mixing styles on price per.

@Mallard60022 Thanks for upsetting my stomach.....
Of course, I'm sure you've all noticed that this suggestion about Imperial Measurement is a bit of a smokescreen for a bonfire of various "EU" rules and regs that are getting in the way of the swashbuckling Captains of Industry and also to get the more extreme members of the "Conservative" MPs back on side to protect the position of our esteemed PM.
Interesting Times, folk......

Football is done for a few months - yay.
But now it's cricket season.
Does this sport stuff ever end

Woodenhead's photo studio about to open for the afternoon. Ebay offer too good to miss, so more stock going.

Bl**dy annoying when your 22 new listings on Ebay are still not showing in searches or your account after 24 hours.

Self checkouts in Aldi, wasn't expecting that this evening

Just had a Java notification for an updated version. But then it noted I hadn't used it in 6 months so recommended I actually uninstall it completely and then reinstall when I want it.
How many software applications ever suggest deletion when not in use!

I hand wrote a letter today, I mean who actually takes the time to write a letter who isn't Royalty or sending love.
I was going to the Post Office to send back a warranty claim and thought whilst I was at it I should send another item. With no time to get out a computer / printer I simply wrote a note - joined up writing and everyfink.
Remembered not to write 'Love' at the bottom 😆

The Ladybird book Learnabout Handwriting might come in useful too! Original price 30p, a snip at £3.50!!!
(I found a box of my Ladybird books in the loft, I might have a copy...)

Wow, just experienced Amazon AI on chat.
It correctly guessed that I wished to chat concerning an order that was late being delivered and simply offered to replace the items. Then it re-ordered the items and I can see the new order.
That's efficient.

Mild Easter panic - oven seemed to be broken - but luckily a Hotpoint F03 error just needs you to go through a reset, as per Hotpoint's own YouTube site.
Rather scarily though, the process invoking what looks like the high temperature clean setting - the doors locked and it began making noises but I got past it and reset the motherboard.

Rishi and Boris announce that the Energy Price Cap and National Insurance rises were just a long game April Fool.

How do you steal petrol from a petrol station using a Wheelie bin - TWICE.

@Nick C Yes, poured from pump straight into the bin

Odd, all the Russian spambots have disappeared from YouTube.
Did it really take an invasion for Google to act on them?
