  1. I had a spare Dapol imperium that wouldn't operate the cab lights and I think it is the same decoder rebadged, in the end I bought a esu lokpilot 5 that worked fine.
  2. I think it is only held on with two screws the other two are locating pins.
  3. Or to stop anyone else using the technology.
  4. Kernow model centre, arrived on Saturday.
  5. Dcc supplies used to show improved ones on there website with better protection but it's gone now.
  6. The blanking plug is unique to this and later class 22s so the Bachmann one won't work.
  7. https://www.railcar.co.uk/images/1872 The wiper arms were purple at least.
  8. Try turning off running on DC, a have a 21 silver that wouldn't stop until it was switched off.
  9. Has every one who will be refunded been refunded, I have looked at my PayPal account and the money has been paid but I haven't seen anything else.
  10. It only needs 5 functions front/rear marker lights, front/rear cab light and carriage lighting. The problem with the Bachmann decoder is the logic levels are wrong on the function output for the carriage lighting.
  11. Hopefully it will be sold without the controller and possibly without the sound chip by some shops.
  12. Mine also has a lenz silver 21 pin decoder, the packaging and instructions of the bubble car are ambiguous saying mtc21 because true mtc decoders with logic level outputs on aux 5 won't turn the carriage lights off.
  13. It's the difference between Trix and British Trix, two different but linked companies. https://www.gracesguide.co.uk/Trix.
  14. Fairly sure the Airfix 31 was not released by Dapol or Hornby and possibly not by Mainline either.
  15. I picked mine up from hattons and they tested them on the test track in the store, we went through several and they all did it with the steps clipping the air tanks when the unit goes around a curve and derailing the bogie. You will have to trim or remove the steps or only run it on gentle curves.
  16. To add to the above post the station staff at taplow where wearing tfl uniforms already.
  17. At Warley they had four car versions for sale and said they only had two eight car versions one in the museum and one in the tfl board room that cost £500 each!
  18. I thought that close coupling mechanisms needed a solid bar like a roco or Hornby clone roco coupling.
  19. I experimented with mine using a opto isolator wired from a function output on the decoder and across where the switch is wired into the circuit board.
  20. In stock for preordering due third quarter.
