  1. You should feel sorry for @SteveCole, three times this week he's had to put up with me talking in TLAs, GBs and SLAs on Zoom calls. Getting in practice for talking to America next week.
  2. Maybe as a whole range but not necessarily so for a specific product.
  3. Yes, the last hour seems to have been as it should. I wait with trepidation to see if it holds. I hope it does. However, I will be extremely annoyed if that emergency reboot in the data centre of one of the drives was the solution as I've been badgering the hosts for weeks about issues with anything from straight denials that there's a problem through to obfuscation in pointing the finger elsewhere hence me getting through boxes of Elastoplast to keep things limping along whilst discussing big migration projects. We shall see.
  4. Don't start me on that one; someone stood in our town's Market Square furthering his ambitions based on shapes of bananas.
  5. There was another fallover 30 minutes ago which I contacted hosting about. That occasion was nothing to do with our problem... [LON2] HV5 fault reported, scheduled 28 minutes ago 38 minutes ago We are currently investigating issues with HV5 at our LON2 data centre and will be performing a reboot in 10 mins in an attempt to restore service. Additional work will likely continue after this point in order to return full service. It doesn't help when I don't know where to stick the banana.
  6. Can't keep nuffin' secret in this place. It must be my community service ankle bracelet.
  7. Or an insertion of soggy spaghetti into the back end of a wildcat. Nope; I'm off to play with a chuffer and some wagons with a manufacturer - a tough job but I think I've earned it after the last two weeks. It's still work though and it looks like it's going to be a bit nippy.
  8. True, they can't use other producers for their own branded products but they have to compete internally for production capacity and labour within an organisation that produces many other lines which aren't model railways and they have to pay the price for production that Kader determine. In terms of spec and price it may not be what you want but the evidence shows that many new products are sold out very soon after they hit the shop shelves. So who's wrong? You may not like it but those are the facts.
  9. Wuss; that's just the basic course before you advance to a Dapol Western. I will be having a day away from it tomorrow but that's what worries me right now - there isn't anyone else who can wield a banana on this software.
  10. Put the torches and pitchforks away; it's of no help to me at present.
  11. It's not even enough time for an idle thought to brew up.
  12. They're on their way v soon so get the kids on ebay just in case a buyer returns them as faulty and you have to re-advertise. You also get more layout space and modelling time as a bonus.
  13. That was when it was struggling to pick up the CSS. Does it look ok for you now?
  14. Read the date of the post as well as the post itself.
  15. I said that I bend his ear - not that he's responsible so my point still stands. He's as frustrated as I am with some things but he's the channel I have to go through in inter-departmental matters.
  16. It's not Steve who it should be aimed at so that's really uncalled for.
  17. Please refer to the big red notice at the top of every page. That's the correct thing to do. I've deleted the duplicate post about duplicate posts.
  18. I dunno; you'd think I'd stolen someone's train set when you see some of the messages/mails I get. Some of the most inconvenienced are the most pleasant to discuss it with; the most vociferous seem to be the ones who barely access the site from one year to the next. That's life; that's people.
  19. Or a VEA which isn't. https://www.hattons.co.uk/8638/hornby_r6178u_vea_van_in_br_brown_unboxed_/stockdetail Not far off it in this house once I've looked back at 20yo kitbuilt ones.
  20. Compared to what? A Parkside kit with extra detailing from scratch bits, paint and some (enjoyable hours) of your life. Your time or your money? Your choice but I hope your decoration skills are top notch. Anyway, they'll be around £34 in the shops.
  21. Yes, Bachmann's stated policy over the last two years and the coverage on here.
  22. Chrome has been ok at this end. Have you tried giving the browser some Andrew's? Worked for me last week.
  23. I've already said it's in progress so the points are null. It's just taking a whole lot longer than I wished due to internal systems.
