  1. When the centre is open yes. Head for the Crewe North box and you'll go through it. There's a limited amount of model railway products but there's an awful lot of fascinating railway ephemera and collectables in the shop.
  2. I fully understand everyone's frustrations; you can safely multiply that to get to my level. The hosting provider have been hopeless/evasive when it's obviously a connection to server/ read issue and it's at the stage where I'm trying to get further support within the business as the current staff haven't got the experience of the platform and software.
  3. You may need to do a browser refresh; I got the arrow sorted yesterday afternoon.
  4. I was the other side of the line at Blessed Bill's with the science block overlooking the passage of everything through to APTs and, on a single occasion, a space shuttle on the back of a 747 (more interesting than a train). It's no wonder I failed Physics first time round. As sixth formers we'd have to pick up some fags for the head from The Eagle and have a pint with our biology teacher. Different times; happy days.
  5. I've still got mine. Will investigate further.
  6. From about 04.00 GMT the system seems to have turned itself offline (for non-admin users) until I turned it on about 06.30 but it's run very slowly since but is slightly improving it seems. I'll be monitoring it.
  7. Online retailers don't know how many sugars I like in my tea. I know Arkwright only does it so I wander round and pick other stuff up whilst he serves others thus recovering the cost of boiling the kettle. There's always a tub of sweets on the counter and buying on the 'net doesn't give me snippets of gossip whilst I browse. I'd have to pay good money to be similarly entertained elsewhere.
  8. I've run it without ads and the underlying issues remained so the ads aren't a root cause.
  9. Yes, there is an issue there. Why has it suddenly changed? No flipping idea!
  10. If you've enjoyed Shenston Road in this month and last month's issues here's a video from Greg behind, and underneath, the scenes.
  11. Thanks, That was when I was trying to break a connection whilst trying to correct a process.
  12. Ok, it's been below par since last night (so have I). Seems okay now.
  13. I wouldn't be able to look the shopkeeper of my local in the eye if I did; he always plays fair by me and the benefits are better than price-hunting or hedging.
  14. According to Bachmann they are an authorised stockist.
  15. Of course there could be 1,001 reasons (rather than the derogatory 'excuses' word) but if you didn't bother to read the experiences of others then there is nothing anyone else can do on here to help you.
  16. I'll give you that one! If you can turn your back on this life of crime and channel it into something beneficial to society you may be alright when you get to the pearly gates.
  17. Of course it goes on, I'm not ignorant of that, but it's not something I would be proud of doing or telling people. I watched it, legitimately, when it was on bona fide streaming services but it didn't cost me a penny, just a few minutes over the previous few months.
  18. It's barely been a fortnight, a bit early to start waving that one around. It may have been worth reading this topic before rather than posting to it afterwards if that was your level of expectation.
  19. That's never likely to be viable and it ever did one to be you could kiss new development goodbye. Timmy Tightwad would still have to paint it.
  20. We have one and I can't decide if it's as dumb as or sentient. It has a weird MO but it does a great job. Maybe this one just fancied sleeping off a heavy day under the bushes, haven't we all?
  21. There's been a lot of triping going on.
  22. We have to take into account who our readers are and what they want or need to know. There will be prototypical reference information beyond that the information the manufacturers provide (rarely found in YouTube reviews) and comparisons against that. Observations will be made and qualified. Prices may be noted but value is for the potential buyer to decide. Running observations and performance indicators given with any deficiencies observed noted. We also have the opportunity to go back to designers or other contacts to obtain further information. Maybe print reviews are short on hyperbole or blood-letting that some may wish to see but, in general, they will be better considered and rounded pieces.
  23. In some cases yes and not in others. If you have found the comments of others offensive towards YouTube contributors then the same applies to your comments on those who write reviews for print.
