  1. All forums will have technical issues at some point or another. Bear in mind the overall size, number of users, traffic levels and storage (we're talking millions of images) - you won't be comparing like with like. I am not denying changes or improvements need to be made and there are discussions in progress but it's of no help whatsoever when armchair experts sit there saying should be done. It is. But it doesn't happen overnight.
  2. Unless you know details from within our business and the communications with stakeholders you don't.
  3. His call. It'll end in tears.
  4. Yes, and I've closed it as you've extended your specific problem to being the whole market. Please contact your retailer if you are not satisfied.
  5. I wouldn't say that was a consensus within the topic; those comments were guidance for you to check if you had an issue. This topic just looks like you're extending your experience with one product on your layout to be a market-wide problem. @PMP has already commented on the non-issue in wider terms. I'm locking the invite to the whinge-fest off.
  6. I thought I'd show some restraint for once and not refer to it as a perm as that would indicate a choice had been made.
  7. That we go to shows with the wrong sort of models? Hairstyles have changed, clothing less so.
  8. Should contain a warning 'Scenes of mild railroad peril' - I'd happily ride round on that all day. Loads of operating potential.
  9. Thanks for that, it certainly looks like you should still have the privileges. I've manually set you back to Gold and will try to get the system issues investigated in the week.
  10. I can't tell from this end what sort of renewal you have or not. If it's just a glitch logging in here should set things right https://www.world-of-railways.co.uk/account/login?ref=%2Fmy-account%2Fmy-membership%2F If that doesn't work give the subs department a call in the week. Thanks!
  11. Following Tim's sad news above I have moved subsequent posts to the obituary topic https://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/170008-grahame-hitchen-bgman/ and will close this topic off.
  12. Such sad news and my thoughts are with Grahame's family and closest friends, the last weeks must have been awful. It's evident Grahame entertained and earned the respect of many through his modelling and his humour. We spent too much time gassing and laughing together outside Staplegrove village hall. I'll certainly miss him when I'm next down. Thank you to Tim for shouldering the work of keeping everyone here up to date, a hard job today but you were the right man for it. RIP Grahame.
  13. I'm keeping well clear of the door that weekend when someone from Radstock demands 10p change from his ten bob bit.
  14. I'd be interested to know if it is an easier to solder droppers to than the original. If anyone tries it please do let us know.
  15. A further note - these notifications will relate to the PM conversation you have posted in.
  16. You will need to adjust your individual notification settings. You can set it for a summary notification once a day. https://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/notifications/options/ I will close this topic as it's likely to leads to unrelated questions due to the very general topic title.
  17. I've previously explained the underlying problem is nothing to do with the ads.
  18. When the centre is open yes. Head for the Crewe North box and you'll go through it. There's a limited amount of model railway products but there's an awful lot of fascinating railway ephemera and collectables in the shop.
  19. I fully understand everyone's frustrations; you can safely multiply that to get to my level. The hosting provider have been hopeless/evasive when it's obviously a connection to server/ read issue and it's at the stage where I'm trying to get further support within the business as the current staff haven't got the experience of the platform and software.
  20. You may need to do a browser refresh; I got the arrow sorted yesterday afternoon.
  21. I was the other side of the line at Blessed Bill's with the science block overlooking the passage of everything through to APTs and, on a single occasion, a space shuttle on the back of a 747 (more interesting than a train). It's no wonder I failed Physics first time round. As sixth formers we'd have to pick up some fags for the head from The Eagle and have a pint with our biology teacher. Different times; happy days.
