  1. I had some etched tell tale fittings for the end of Mk1 coaches. I've searched but I can't find them for sale anywhere. Any ideas?

I found an etch at last (in the box marked coach kit bits of all places). Now I need to find where it came from so I can get some more..

Replica Railways used to sell parts from their MLV kits which included those rubbing plates.  May be worth giving them a call?

It seems so. Apparently long covid is declared after 12 weeks. I'm not quite there yet and don't intend to be.

Good to hear you are almost there. I have a good mate that says he is OK for a while and then jusy gets extreme fatigue out of the blue for a few days and then is OK again; fairly typical Virus after affects I think? Hope it sorts itself out soon buddy.

      LNERGE

Thanks. I can relate to that. The sudden wall of tiredness presents itself and I can’t get over it.

  9. I'm finding simple things difficult lol. I have managed to carry out a control change on a signal  and thats about it. It did involve five track circuits and three lots of point detection but was succesful all the same. (OO gauge, steering clear of the bigger stuff for a bit)

  12. I booked xmas off so loads of modelling time. Was feeling a bit down that it was nearing the time to return to work. Feeling down turned to feeling ill. One positive test later.

I feel I'm on the mend. Not so for Mrs LNERGE. Keeping an eye on the kids but nothing of concern so far.

  13. The Cat is back! Well done to all those who helped in getting it back to Duxford.

  14. There is footage of a Tallboy going off whilst being defused. Not a job for the faint hearted. Everyone ok apparently.

Apparently the idea was that they were trying to do a slow burn on the contents and the 76 year old Torpex was feeling a bit frisky!

    4. truffy

      truffy

That's the problem with 76-year olds; when they feel frisky they fall apart.

  15. I must have spent an hour on the net looking for ETS jumpers for the ends of my Mk1 Bullion Van. Is it i can't see the wood for the trees or does no one make them?

  18. OO gauge inside. G gauge and a full size signalling simulation outside and I have to stay at home. I may cope.

  19. Does the MOD still have ramp wagons to go with it's WAFLATS and WARWELLS?

  20. Asymmetrical braking success! Soon my model railway wont need me.

A good observation. It will gain the same status as the Wife, just attracting my attention when things need paying for.

  21. Where did that spring go from that adaptor base? It'll show up i guess probably jamming the mechanism on a loco or similar... No i've just knelt on it.

  22. I have a kit of parts for a Westinghouse signal machine on my workbench. I also have stress levels off the scale and some bits left.

  23. It must be heading towards winter... The model railway has seen it's first movements since April.

  24. Just about to install a third intermediate token machine in section. This has to be fairly unique in this day and age?

  25. I know i'll change a defective point motor for one with exactly the same fault on the hottest day of the year. That'll be fun.
