  1. I’ve added the diagrams I can from an old catalogue, hopefully they’re correct
  2. Hi, sorry only just seen that you posted this. Only minimal progress to report, the J24 is now painted and almost finished. I’m currently trying to shoehorn P4 wheels into an Oxford J27 and build a few more bits and pieces for the layout. I’ll try and post some updates soon. Many thanks for looking in
  3. There’s potentially one listed here as well that might be 1:76 but not sure if it’s actually available yet https://www.matadormodels.co.uk/xengineer/lists engineer.htm
  4. Any good? https://railsofsheffield.com/products/woodland-scenics-wd233-bulldozer-cat-d7-tractor-hooo?variant=35451154497608&currency=GBP&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=google%2Bshopping&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAiA1fqrBhA1EiwAMU5m_5y4q0H_ybTWMsjZpqOMF2bcmtz5ScayfxIHWazliAekXKgdTZRHARoCSOAQAvD_BwE usual disclaimer etc.
  5. Perhaps heading for thread drift but have a look here with regards to the 1/162 hoppers
  6. Looking forward to seeing this develop. Is adapting the fiddle yard from Greyscroft to make it a circuit an option?
  7. These are typically up to 35mm wheelbase but might be worth an enquiry to see if a bespoke one could be put together https://www.locosnstuff.com/Motor-Bogie-and-Chassis-kits.php I have a couple of the motor bogies under some 7mm narrow gauge locos and they run better than a tenshodo
  8. I wonder if this could eventually lead to a 3rd axle and a H2/J79?
  9. Excellent, wasn’t expecting that, NER lined black will do nicely

    ROD 2-8-0

If you scroll down to the appropriate manual(s) here you should hopefully find all the information you need https://Bachmann-spares.co.uk/articles/oo-instructions/3 Hope this helps Mike
  11. I’d hazard a guess that Hornby has probably made a lot of the BR Britannia class as well Between Lima/Hornby - class 50, 52, 67, 87, 91, 92?
  12. I was wondering about butchering some Gibson wheels and sleeving some suitable diameter rod for the stub axles, I’ll have a more thorough plan when I get chance to dismantle it.
  13. Nicely done, I’ve been wondering how to go about P4’ing mine for a little while and now I know, thanks for the photos too
  14. Might be worth going direct unless you need it really soon https://www.walthers.com/rolling-mill-with-reversing-mill-stand-kit on sale too…
  15. If you’re up for replacing the steps, PH designs do a set of etched ones http://www.phd-design-etchings.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&path=25_28_63&product_id=178 No connection except a previous customer
  16. I wonder how much longer they’ll keep using CVR(T) which basically still does everything Clive states above, and goes a good deal faster than 40mph…. (And fits in aircraft without taking it half to bits) I could be wrong but I think this isn’t the first attempt at replacing them?
  17. Another option for an earlier Andrew Barclay prototype would be this one: https://ribblesteam.org.uk/exhibits/steam/andrew-barclay-1598-1918-efficient/
  18. You could try york modelmaking https://yorkmodelrail.com They should be able to give you a quote from the artwork and have a good range of materials (no connection apart from a repeat customer)
  19. Hi Lars, Thanks for the interest, at present we’ve put the layout to one side for a little while, chances are we’ll revisit it at some point
  20. This is how the Tanfield Railway does it https://www.flickriver.com/photos/159239762@N02/48654536987/
  21. Very nice David, I’d definitely be interested in a P4 set for the Barclay Mike
  22. Apologies if this has already been asked, having recently taken delivery of a Hattons 14” Barclay I was wondering if wheels for one of these might be possible with a view to P4 conversion? Many thanks Mike
  23. Duncan Models do a kit for a Priestman Panther, see about 2/3 of the way down this page http://www.duncanmodels.co.uk/price_list_steam_vehicles_and_items.htm I can’t remember when the particular type was first built but it might be suitable I’ve built the dragline version which with care went together fairly well and I’m planning on converting it to radio control when time permits Merry Christmas Mike
  24. To be honest I wasn’t aware there was a difference in the frames, perhaps this idea is going to require a bit more thought...
