That's very mixed company you're keeping there. But the roaring twenties are just around the corner, so anything goes. Can one equate pooling with a collapse in moral standards? 1 1

RMweb Gold Mikkel Posted September 28, 2021 RMweb Gold Share Posted September 28, 2021 (edited) Watched that in full screen size, very relaxing and a lovely scene. Peace for the soul. Good thing the NER were so stingy with sheeting, gives us a nice view of the loads Edited September 28, 2021 by Mikkel To avoid misunderstandings: They weren't of course, it's tongue in cheek! 1

Yes, I believe it is actually a model of a replica, whereas the 1001 is of the 1870s but updated by Mr Worsdell.
RMweb Gold Worsdell forever Posted October 2, 2021 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted October 2, 2021 Had a ride out up to Shildon today to the G5 open day, then seem to be making good progress, they're awaiting the driving wheels and crank axle to be finished then they will have a rolling chassis (they have the leading wheels and the bogie wheels are in place). There's a large amount of parts made just waiting to be put together, the current project is brakes, they have the cross shift and pull rods but there's plenty more bits to do. https://www.g5locomotiveltd.co.uk/ Anyway, here's 67240 relegated to shuffling wagons around the yard and a few photos of the full size one.
MrWolf
Looking very neat and efficient there! Perhaps you should have warned them that old Jaguars carry a highly voracious form of tinworm, the whole lot might be a pile of rust dust by next weekend! And look, we've got a crane, how hard can it be?' 'What's in it boss?' 'Dunno Billy, says on it it's Army and not to open it... Best not to worry about that.'
RMweb Gold Stubby47 Posted October 6, 2021 RMweb Gold Share Posted October 6, 2021 Ooh, a crane that can move crates. Can it hang doors too?

RMweb Gold Mikkel Posted October 6, 2021 RMweb Gold Share Posted October 6, 2021 Tackle is for losers. Reins too. We leave that to the lesser railways. Nice lettering on the sides of the dray. Neat.

RMweb Gold Worsdell forever Posted November 20, 2021 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted November 20, 2021 It's not very often Mrs WF has to work on a Saturday, but when it happens every opportunity has to be taken to make the most of it, had a bit of a shunt with 1333, after all the wagons and junk had been cleared off the board... 14

Hi Rob, Yes I think it's about done, needs the setts in the doorway redoing, they were put down for the Hornby one and don't fit this one. Then it needs sticking down and bedding in. 7
RMweb Gold Worsdell forever Posted November 21, 2021 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted November 21, 2021 After my last post I decided to get on with the setts, photos show the process from the old ones removed, paper template marked up and cut out and the finished job. 11
MrWolf
The colouring of those setts just looks perfect and reminds me that I have the same job to do on my own layout. This layout continues to inspire me. 1
RMweb Gold Worsdell forever Posted November 21, 2021 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted November 21, 2021 Found an old black and white photo of the goods shed at a busy moment, I've colourised it, think it's come out well. 9 1 2
