roythebus
Also posted in the prototype for everything section, this cardboard building is on the corner of Commercial Road and West India Dock Road in Tower Hamlets. The"building" is held up by scaffolding and is the prototype for the Bilteezi backscenes surely?

RMweb Premium Phil Mc Posted May 18, 2019 RMweb Premium Share Posted May 18, 2019 Took this looking through the palisade fencing at Eastleigh. With the Grey shading from the fence up both sides of the pic, and the blurry elements in the foreground, it just somehow doesn't look real to me. Cheers, Phil. 18

The cardboard kit buildings would look more effective if the printed windows were replaced with proper glazing perhaps? 1
Wickham Green
That Peco EM gauge track is very effective - though using it for such a tight curve is a bit suspect.

RMweb Gold The Johnster Posted May 22, 2019 RMweb Gold Share Posted May 22, 2019 And the coach, incorrect livery for the loco's period, screams poor quality exhibition club layout to me!
Wickham Green
How about this horror of a layout ? ........ embankment hard up against the sky-paper, over-scale rails with implausible rusting effect and sleepers that look exactly like black plastic ! ..... Boston Lodge, new Carriage shed headshunt 14/6/19 .................................. yes those sleepers ARE plastic !. That'll teach 'em to cheapskate it with treated steel rail. Should have sprung the extra bob or so for the nickel silver ;).
RMweb Premium Ian Smeeton Posted June 23, 2019 RMweb Premium Share Posted June 23, 2019 (edited) I came across this on Flickr. Setrack radius curve; overscale gaps between the stock, guard & frog rails... dead giveaways for a "one up from a train set" layout. And he'll have trouble getting the dry paint off the tops of the rails, too.

RMweb Premium njee20 Posted July 23, 2019 RMweb Premium Share Posted July 23, 2019 Always looks silly when people don’t use a blend of scatter though, that green in the foreground is too uniform.
