Not very convincing for the M25 tho' with only five (?) cars in sight.

It was taken during the lockdown.

I did a job near the Severn Tunnel. I left for home at 19:30 on a Sunday evening and had 15 minutes on the M4 with nothing in front, nothing behind and nothing on the other carriageway. I think it was probably the 2nd week of lockdown.

Farringdon 1976

31 181 approaches Farringdon on a Moorgate - Welwyn Garden City evening peak service

The new Airfix 31 scrubs up nicely, doesn't it? Pity about the stick-on headcode panel.

Ballast is way too coarse. Should have sifted it first. :D

Good to see some old three rail being used too.

It must be an Airfix 31 as the headcode isn't lit, in full blast, retina-searing high-intensity LED mode, like most modern model diesels. ;)

Far too tidy, no litter and the windows are obviously printed acetate stuck to the Bilteze office model:

Such a contrived exit to the fiddleyard, too. It'd never look like that in real life...  :jester:

And yet another bridge to tunnel cliche ....

And in 30 seconds the same train will pass under the same bridge on the line that's hidden by the vegetation in the mid-foreground.

Spotted on Flickr: a rather impressive O Gauge Grid.

Just shows though, gloss never looks right, satin varnish would make it look more like the real thing. Cab lights look silly too.
