Rivercider
When visiting Ottery St Mary recently I walked past the derelict Ottermill complex, and thought of this thread. It was never rail served, but I imagine many similar buildings were. Pictures taken on 13th August this year. cheers Edited September 19, 2013 by Rivercider
RMweb Premium DLT Posted September 19, 2013 RMweb Premium Share Posted September 19, 2013 When visiting Ottery St Mary recently I walked past the derelict Ottermill complex, and thought of this thread. It was never rail served, but I imagine many similar buildings were. Definitely should be, I can just see a siding embedded in that concrete roadway, being shunted by something in grimy BR Blue... Cheers, Dave.

RMweb Gold westerhamstation Posted October 14, 2013 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted October 14, 2013 (edited) Another visit yesterday to Blists Hill Musuem, same weather as last time (rain) I took some more pictures of different bits and pieces which I will add over the next few days. Here are a few, I hope they may give you some inspiration for future models. Edited January 2, 2023 by westerhamstation

firefly9
Has anyone got any pics of signage from the 70's/80's? The model i'm building is set in early mid 1980's and by then the signage of BR had become more corporate and advertising had changed greatly. Things such as the big adverts by the side of the road or adverts on stations, buildings etc. Any help appreciated. Richard

Bernard Lamb
In no particular order or any theme. Various old enamel signs. A more modern sign. A challenge to the modeller. A bigger challenge. The Former Station Hotel, Winslow The former Inn at Tring Station. Just a typical thatched cottage , but it was the home of the TV presenter McDonald Hobley. BG John
A few more bits and pieces in no particular order. That's useful. I'm thinking of doing something similar to the overhanging bit with the Scalescenes Factory/Warehouse, and thought it would need much bigger girders than that. Was there track under there originally? I'd need track under mine, and the occasional loco would go under there.
