43110andyb
Wiring work is progressing at a pace and now well over 25% of the layout is fully finished for DCC operation. Dave is doing scenic work ageing the now mostly redundant platform. - picture shows the almost finished platform end just awaiting a dulling down.
RMweb Gold Mr.S.corn78 Posted June 5, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted June 5, 2018 Hello, So whilst Dave is working wonders on the greenery I have been working on board 10 and its now re-wired for DCC. This board has two functions, not only is it the start of the fiddle yard but it is also going to be the location of the repair bench and test track. We are trying to keep the required space at an exhibition to a minimum and with the possibility of 6+ people in the central operating area having a table in there could possibly cause problems so a work area at one end was the solution and it stops it getting cover in bits at a show. So once this ones back in the storage facility then it will be on to the front, which is currently being planned wring wise.

43110andyb
Was it the Earthquake that did it? Hi Andy, certainly something brought it down during the night. We're a fair way from the epicentre but it's a plausible explanation! We were hoping that the layout would 'make the earth move' for spectators but not necessarily in this fashion! -More likely Simons sound fitted class 50!!!!
RMweb Gold Mr.S.corn78 Posted June 12, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted June 12, 2018 -More likely Simons sound fitted class 50!!!! Possibly as the Mk 2 version is currently under going testing on the bench But that one is for Doncaster 2019
