i would like to report this issue on my Hornby class 50, 50002.

Hornby R2429 class 50 50002 plate below cab distortion and crumbling.

This prompted me to thoroughly check my 50002. I can thankfully report no sign of Mazak rot anywhere, so hopefully for others with this model this is a more isolated issue.

A couple more in better lighting. Happily, replacement chassis are cheap and readily available so my old loco still runs well. I draw the line at replacing the bodyshell. It is what it is and it wears its scars with the dignity of old age. No Trigger's Broom analogies here!

My first Tri-ang victim in 16 years of handling these loco's, Hornby LMS Princess Elizabeth from Royal Train Set R1057 has been flagged up this week to me, Hornby were contacted reply " not a known issue with this model" frustratingly we are dealing 3 Hornby Railroad 9Fs in the sick bay, 2 with tender chassis rot,  replacing internal unit frame with class 47 and one locomotive chassis frame bent like a banana fitting a UK made chassis block which needs a new valve gear mount making.

I suspect it's due to the server migration. I've asked if it can be restored, but if not I'm afraid it might be lost forever as the device I had it backed up to has also bitten the dust.

I may still have the original xls which the pdf was originally based.

I’ll have a look later tonight

Thanks, I had forgotten you'd helped me out, though I think I added some items after that, but at least all would not be lost.
