thindude
I am currently building a DJH 02 shunter kit, I have been building it for a few years. I seem to have lost the screws that hold the coupling rods onto the wheels. I have tried to contact DJH with no success, does anybody know what size screws I need as it doesn't tell you in the instructions. Thanks in advance. tamperman36
Have you tried contacting Romford as the wheels are not manufactured by DJH.
Arun Sharma
Assuming that you are building the DJH/Tower Class 02 Starter kit in O gauge [in the absence of any other information], the crankpin screws are 12BA steel cheesehead Edited March 19, 2018 by ted675
Steamport Southport
I would think more likely the OO gauge version. Romford has gone the way of the dodo. They've been Markits for donkeys years. http://www.markits.com/download.html But I would try Wizard Models for ease of purchase. These should be the correct type. https://www.wizardmodels.ltd/shop/wheels/14ba-threaded-crankpins-and-bushes-x-6-rm7/ Or a pack of 4 but I don't think they are threaded. https://www.wizardmodels.ltd/shop/wheels/crankpins-washers-rm1/ Jason Edited March 19, 2018 by Steamport Southport
Gordon A
Or for 00 "Romford" type wheels try 247 Models. Gordon A
Steamport Southport
Or for 00 "Romford" type wheels try 247 Models. Gordon A Good call. I didn't want to recommend using Markits as the deliveries have apparently been a bit hit and miss, and they charge a lot for postage. Halfway down here. RMweb Premium newbryford Posted March 19, 2018 RMweb Premium Share Posted March 19, 2018 If it's the 00 version, IIRC, the crankpin hole in the rod was quite large, so required shouldered screws. Quite possibly with 14BA threads. Gratuitous DJH 02 pic, Cheers, Mick
