On 6th April 2022 a Grand Central class 180 heads east around the Peco radius 2 curve away from Brighouse with a service from Bradford Interchange to London Kings Cross.

The DMCL of one of Ardwick's finest in profile at Deighton during its booked stop on 10th April 2022 with a service from York to Manchester Victoria.

Ok, I know it's not a 'wish list' thread, but I really would like one of the manufacturers to bite the bullet and produce a 4mm scale version of these 3 car units.  They've carried two distinct and separate liveries in their almost 20 year lives, with several one-offs too.

Plus, anyone wanting to model the current Trans-Pennine route in 4mm will soon have the Nova 1 class 802/2 and class 68s and Nova 3 Mark 5 sets available.

On 15th April 2022, after the ten mile continuous climb from east of Huddersfield, a TransPennine Express 802/2 Nova 1 set reaches the highest point of this route across the Pennine hills at Marsden.

That's a glorious history-filled image, Trevor.  I'm just imagining a model of that track layout for shunting tests (will this stay on the rails): "Starting on the second track from the right, propel  your rake of wagons into the LH siding under the bridge, NOT using the direct route".

Very much a glimpse - if it wasn't for the red in the livery you wouldn't spot them - of 2x175s just North of Leominster on 18th April.  Seen from the grounds of Berrington Hall.

I'm intrigued by the track below the right hand DMU cab, by the corner of the rusty hopper wagon. Is that a weighbridge with duplicated track for locos to bypass the mechanism?

Certainly looks like it. Checking the NLS mapping OS 1892-1914, it shows much of that track formation and the building, but doesn't elaborate on it's function...

5th May 2019, 802 114 stands looking rather embarrassed in the down through road at Totnes, while a down Voyager serves the station. The IEP was protected by banners and dets front and back, and no doubt some sort of reminder appliance in the controlling signalbox. It had apparently told the driver it was critically low on fuel, while, I believe running ECS, and might not reach Laira. Holding it there didn't really impact the working - while a failure en route would have been seriously bad news, even on a Sunday.

Passing the urban sprawl at Eastleigh on 3rd May 2022 a South Western Railway, although it's still mostly dressed in the former South West Trains livery, class 158 slows for a booked stop with a service from Salisbury to Romsey, via Romsey and Southampton Central.

Travelling to Dover, last Satuday, I was pleased to find that the Eastbourne to Ashford International service now has 4-car 171s. The last time I used it, it was the Brighton to AI service and only had two coaches and was often crowded, especially from Eastbourne onwards. I was too busy rushing through the subway to grab a ride on a Javelin to snap the train on the way out.
