RMweb Gold Oldddudders Posted November 17, 2015 RMweb Gold Share Posted November 17, 2015 A blast from the past, purchased in HMV in Exeter recently - Smackwater Jack by Quincy Jones. A fine album, even if the title track is my least fave.
RMweb Premium BSW01 Posted November 17, 2015 RMweb Premium Share Posted November 17, 2015 Fog on the Tyne - Lindsifarne. I originally bought this back in '72, whilst I was still at school. (Now that does makes me feel old!) Have it on CD now, which has the as a bonus the 2 songs from the 'B' side of the single meet me on the corner, but I've still got the vinyl.

RMweb Premium Clive Mortimore Posted November 19, 2015 RMweb Premium Share Posted November 19, 2015 Oliver's Army - Elvis Costello Have you been listening to Elvis Costello on Radio 4 this week, he is reading from his autobiography. I am really enjoying it. Despite serving in Northern Ireland when Elvis wrote the song he didn't include me "With the boys from the Mersey and the Thames and the Tyne", I lived on the Ouse

Rhys Underwood
Listened to The Alan Parsons Project today. The album I listened to was Tales of Mystery and Imagination - Edgar Allan Poe. I enjoyed it very much and it's the first time I've listened to anything by him.
RMweb Premium BSW01 Posted November 19, 2015 RMweb Premium Share Posted November 19, 2015 A good place to start would be "Alan Parsons The Definitive Collection". But strangely enough there isn't a single track from Tales of mystery and imagination. I particularly like the tracks "The tell tale heart", and "The cask of amontillado". Drove home listening to Exiles - Dan Fogelberg
