Not much going atm, as I'm currently drugged up to the eye-balls on anti-inflammatories due to a suspected bulged disc in my neck - thanks to a works physio making a misdiagnosis and giving me the wrong treatment :sad_mini:

Though I have managed to make a pair of OO gauge Timber Tracks ash pits..

And make up a laser cut paint rack.

Everything's slowed to a crawl, because of my neck, but I have got some things done..

HMS Buttercup is official..

And just by comparison Buttercup & Snowberry are briefly united on the workbench.

I've been working very slowly on Railway commissions - I have another Clerestory Brake in War Time Brown on the bench (well technically on the mantle piece)..

And for another Group Build this lovely kit arrived (along with a few other bits ;) )

A few more bits added to HMS Buttercup ( 30 odd)..

A real softy, just like most Staffies....

I think it was for mine sweeping

Isn't it an electrical cable, streamed out astern and a current passed through it to detonate magnetic mines?  Of course, the ship would have to be demagnetised at very frequent intervals to prevent premature detonation....

Yes it's the LL MK.V Magnetic Sweep cable. Just checked the "Flower Class Corvette's" by John Lambert & Les Brown to find that out. Also because the cable was so heavy, those fitted with required 50 Tons of additional ballast to compensate for the additional topside weight.

Moving on slowly with various projects..

Various railway projects are on the go (some you've seen, some you haven't ;) )

Attacker is waiting for me to mask up - had to do a bit of remedial work and respray the Sky Type S.

And since I last shared a photo of Buttercup roughly 60 parts have been added,,

tiptoes away.....

Hopefully the second track "Back On My Feet Again" rings true for me soon, as on top of my neck problem, I've gone down with Shingles!

Meanwhile back on the workbench...

HMS Buttercup is getting towards the halfway mark in the instructions..

buttercup_30.jpg.c84484bdc139655bcb8b70bfc63f6de7.jpg

More importantly the aft section of the deck is finished ;)

And I've also got round to masking up and painting the topside of the Attacker..

Plus I have a number of completed railway commissions..

No rest for the poorly..

If you hadn't guessed that I'm building a F/P-51D Mustang, you can be certain I am now.

And the boiler room is finished on Buttercup..

Here's some railway related bits I've finished.

The Wartime Black 48xx, crewed, coaled, weathering tweaked, Romford Screw-links fitted and some home-made fire-irons.

Airfix auto-coach: resprayed the roof, added lamp brackets to the drivers end, re-wheeled and weathered. Didcot destination boards are now blank.

And another Wartime Brown Clerestory Brake, this is the fourth one I've done now and each one is slightly different. This one has screw-links, lamp brackets on the luggage end and blanking plates on corridor connectors.

More to come on the railway front (hopefully).
