Hi Julian, coming along OK, last weekend started the wiring, but made a school boy error and added a dropper to the wrong line making a short circuit.

When are you going to start with the ballast? You look pretty close to doing that part.

Cheers, Ade.

Hi Ade,

Yes ballast day is looming. I am going to operate the points, as there are only 5 by dowel through the boards. So they need to be cut in under the board and through the frame.

Priority hopefully this weekend is to fix the track down, after first exchanging a couple of pieces of track cut incorrectly.

I too created a short to me ages to find and it was staring at me in the face.

Got to say really admire your sweeping curves into the station Ade, as well of course the superb man cave its housed in.

On the class 33, late 80,s paid a visit to Oxford station from my then home of Moreton in Marsh.
What should be in the station, none other than 33012 on a parcels service. Been a favourite of mine ever since and then Heljan go and release it..... hence the buckle and purchase.

Boing boing!

I grew up in Southampton so lots of 33s, 73s, 74s and Thumpers. Dad's family were all in Birmingham though so we'd get the train up there (usually a 47, occasionally a 33 to Reading). I have a photo of me about 10 admiring a Peak (or a 1-co-co-1 as we called them) at Birmingham so when Heljan brought that out....
