Bourton on the Water

Some replacement sections of track were installed last night, the cross over section to the left of the 60, the siding opposite the platform and a small section on the run round loop.

The siding was relaid as two pieces replacing the single piece of track.

I could not close up the gap by the point so replaced it.

At last Im nearer track fixing.

Then as Im going to have dowels with wire to change the points and then ballast the track.

All hopefully during this period of working from home and self isolation.

All electrics were great until I renewed some track and tacked all track down all locos seem to stall and cut out in same place. That would suggest to me that the feed wasn't getting through...frustrating to say the least.

on a lighter note the 31 is off to a new home. Just the 45 & 37 both sound to find new homes for.

Ordered a long 10mm wood bit so I can insert the dowels and attach to the points.

Perhaps with hindsight snatched by the ‘locusts’ in tescos I should not have fixed the track down just yet:(.

A method I have kindly adopted from Chris Nevard.
