Kevin, glad had a well deserved break, and glad all going well. Lots to temp there goong on so best sort out a small remortgage to fund them all! Thanks for the comprehensive reply, very much looking forward to all the new books to come to add to the collection of previous excellent stuff from both stables.

Is there anything NEW to be found out about the S&DJt?

Signalling diagrams and station plans have already appeared on a number of occasions.

Maybe images of the numerous Bournemouth sleeper services that Ivo never photographed because he religiously went to bed at 8pm and arose at 8am, always missing them.

Do you mean the overnight holiday trains that reversed at Bath at silly-o'clock?

I walked along part of the route earlier this week around Speitsbury and Charlton Marshall, and you can almost feel the ghosts of all those trains packed with holidaymakers off to Bournemouth.

Can anybody shed any light as to whether this one contains a significant amount of yet unpublished images?  If it's "all the right notes but not necessarily in the right order" again (again) then I'll spend my hard earned on some drugs* or something more useful.

Cheers

Did you know André Previn once bought a BR brakevan? It was delivered from Redhill South Goods to his home in Leigh, Surrey, as a playroom for his kids. He was with Mia Farrow at the time. Christmas 1968.

You are safe to order as it appears to be a new selection of material and not a mention of Andre Previn in sight.

Does that also apply to the new GWR branch lines book advertised in your latest email through BRM.

They played that M&W sketch in the intro to Greig's piano concerto at tonight's Proms...

They had to, of course.

Grieg’s “All the right notes” concerto.

Wonderful stuff. And Finlandia. Looking forward to Britten.
