Destroying the collectibility of models by altering them & throwing away the boxes.

Modelling foreign stuff and taking it out in public.

Enjoying the Warley show.

Not taking it seriously enough for 2% of the hobby ;)

Thats nothing like a lot of US shortlines, their track is often far worse.

Oh absolutely, but as discussed over on my layout thread, getting models that aren't built like the real thing, to act like the real thing, is next to impossible.

I have confessed to this before - my worst crime is running an Eastern Region Class 101 DMU on my GWR layout set in 1946/7.  How do I get away with it?  The stairs up to my railway room are defended by a yard long cat who will blind any Rivet Police who are daft enough to call (if they are lucky -if not she will have them for breakfast) so they will not be able to see anything to offend them.

@Philj W.... repeats on the Jokes Thread are almost inevitable - also tedious, but just about bearable. To post it there, didn't you remember where you got it from in the first place?? :mosking:

Repeating a joke posted just 8 hours ago, again in this Thread - which is still just 2 pages long, so not much to check back through - good grief!!! :shout: :banghead: :jester:

That, Sir, is a model railway Crime!!! :punish:

Agreed. Progressive Rail in the Minnesota Twin Cities area like to keep their engines shiny as well.

I found out that the G&W unit was just out of the paintshop a few days before I shot the photo in West Pelzer, SC.

It takes a lot of heavy rock quarry gondolas to dent track like this line thru Los Gatos CA . Criminal damage ;)

Certainly could! Took SWMBO in when I collected my 20 Dapol Bolster Es just so she knew the problems we face.......

20 Bolster E's? I'd be filing for bankruptcy if I tried to buy that many! Two was bad enough!

The biggest crime here is bottling out of using a Lima/Rumney/Stenson/Lanarkshire combination to create a far better model.

Call yourself a modeller Dr Bullock?

A month on the naughty step for you!

No-one expects the naughty step etc etc!

Perhaps we need some sentencing guidelines on here....

Minor transgressions - Watch an episode of The Great Model Railway Challenge

Medium transgressions - Build a 4 doll etched brass signal (working of course!)

Major transgressions - A 10 year subscription to Railway Modeller

Any other suggestions?

I didn't think anybody could do anything criminal enough to be made to watch an episode of GMRC?

If the crime was big enough, although for the life of me I can't think of anything bad enough to warrant it, be made to appear in an episode of GMRC.

I fit the Limby ones with Cambrian bogies but I can't be arsed to do all the other detailing. (trusses, bolsters, buffers etc)

I confess to having run post 1905 LBSCR Umber liveried locos on my "layout" without them having been lined painstakingly under a microscope. If anybody knows a good medium perhaps they could get in touch with a certain Mr Douglas E Marsh and ask him why the hell he had to muck arouind  and change William Stroudley's livery in the first place...ggggrrrrrr!!!!

Also I run hacked up Ratio LMS coaches as LBSCR 48ft. types WITHOUT CHANGING THE BOGIES TO THE CORRECT PATTERN!!!!!!!

Sitting in the naughty corner waiting for the ridicule to begin.
