I may have mentioned before, but one of the joys of living in the North East is that some shows let you have your dog with you.

Here is Syd, welcoming visitors to my demonstration stand at Birtley a couple of weeks ago.

The following day it was his brother Fred's turn. He called shotgun on the front seat, and is clipped into the searbelt .

The week before that all 3 of our family were dog of the week at Barter Books.

Sadly, Jamie is no longer with us.

He developed an aggressive cancerous tumour next to his backside and it was inoperable. Friday the 17th was his last day. I miss our regular walks on different parts of the Rail Trail.

Introducing Archie (right) and his daughter Freya .... both had thought that rolling in fox poo had made themselves more photogenic ... until they got home !!

He's not mine unfortunately as he belongs to a friend, but here's Boris the Cavvy.

The little chap is a  4 y/o Blenheim who just makes me smile...which is sometimes hard work apparently, the cheek of it!

Bunty had to go under the knife this week. It was a small lump, but a large wound; the vet removed a lot of tissue as sarcomas are very invasive.

Poor lass. I hope she makes a full and uneventful recovery.
