Some more visible progress on Port Nadolig this evening with the lighting fitting and testing. Some quick phone snaps.

Another bit of work this evening, the first slates going on the roof, the first guttering and that resin body kit has been cut up and is going to be rusting over night for use in the corners.

Lots of work still to do.

The ballasting is almost dry now. I've gone for lots of small slate dust and chipping for this to make it look like a yard. The Birds Eye view gives a hint towards how small this is. The scenic section fits on just over 1 half or a Scale Model Scenery 22ltr baseboard. So about 40/45cm long.

Hello Karl,

Exemplary stuff, a proper micro layout looking much more that the sum of it's parts very well done indeed.

Cheers - Jim

Stunning modelling Karl, I particularly like the Welsh slate portrayals.

Cheers, Dave.T

Thank you very much. That's very kind. Hopefully I'll get back to Porth nandolig soon and get some photos of the completed scene outside in the sun.

As I am still awaiting some items on back order for Port Nadolig and feeling inspired by Statfold I decided to take my MS models out of storage and start a photo box file. So this will purely be a scene for display and photos only by not bad progress for one day.

A bit more today, a pause for a few hours now whilst the rust effects take shape on the water tank.

Some more work today, it's all still drying but a lighting test and landscaping added. Hopefully capturing the end of steam/run down type air I am aiming for.

Still just phone snaps, will do some proper photos when dry and the sun shines.

Superb modelling and incredible speed, Karl! 👍

Thankyou very much. Given there isn't any wiring or anything to the track as this'll be a photo board it has been a lot quicker to put together than other projects.

Karl this is a super little layout you have built. The night shots look great 👍

Thankyou very much, I really like doing little scenes for the 009 models. As always natural day light I think really adds to the scene and helps hide modelling evils!
