The EFE U Boat has not sunk our ship with the new batch of Class 156's on 'YET'

 

Specification:

       Strathclyde PTE  156502  Destinations: Glasgow Central - Stranraer

This unit took part in the Netherland Railways 150 Year Celebrations in Holland in 1989 and was driven under its own power from Derby to Dover Western Docks, and then from Dunkirk via Antwerp to Utrecht in Holland. Thus it has a NL Car sticker in its Left Hand Route blind.

Motorised in both cars (As per the prototype) on the rear bogies, fitted with a Low profile, micro geared drive system which allows for a high level of underfloor and interior detailing, plus Live NEM coupling between carriages for all wheel pickup.

This model is designed for 2nd Radius 438mm and should not operate over 1st Radius track and pointwork, this is due to scale clearance between the body & the chassis.

Twin I Phone 8Ohm Speakers fitted with the provision for two other 20X20X7mm Mini Cube Speakers in the fuel tanks of both carriages.

 The PA Announcements.

 These announcements are the most comprehensive on 'ANY' modern multiple unit model.

 

 CV155 can be accessed to amend these on the Strathclyde model with a Scottish Lady Conductor ,           or a English Male Conductor for the Northern ones.

Yep. 10:30 yesterday, door bell rings - post lady with a very unexpected SPT 156 510. Only had a chance for a quick visual inspection, no running yet, but it looks fantastic. Very happy thanks Charlie.

Received my sound fitted SPTE example today, going to give it a test tomorrow. It'll run nicely with my other Provinicial liveried Scottish example.

Some of the stamps on the package were interesting; I'm no Philatelist, but some of them looked to be of some vintage? A nice touch regardless.

We have over 300 Pre -Paid orders from our own customers, these are going out in Date Order, thats only fair.

 

I would not be that impressed if I ordered a model 18 months ago, just to find out that a mate ordered one last week and its now arrived with him.
